No one mentions how hard it is to have unsupportive supportive parents. Yes they say they love you and they don't kick you out of the house after you come out, they might even support your decision on transitioning and changing your name ect. But on the flip side they don't make an effort to use your pronouns or your name, they misgender you without a second thought and they even sometimes do it in front of people and act surprised when you correct them. There's nothing worse than going home knowing that you're going to face a whole lot of misgendering and deadnaming but when someone asks you about it you have to say "well they support my decision to transition" like it's an acceptable excuse.
