This Gotham is not her Gotham. It is wrong. No, not wrong. Different. Something in the air, in the way that people interact with each other. In the fighting styles of the heroes here and the slight changes to their suits. If she wasnāt already aware that something was wrong, Cass would have thought there were several copycats running around, when she picked a patrol route and went hunting. They look almost the same, fight almost the same, but they are not the same family Cass knows and loves.
So, she stays out of sight when she follows Red Robin, Red Hood, and Batman individually for a bit, after she manages to find each of them. Not for long, and not obviouslyāthough they arenāt stupid, sheās sure theyāll know theyāre being watched (sheās careful to avoid Oracleās eyes, too, should she exist here)ābut long enough to be sure of her theory.
Then, sheās making her way to Bristol. Sneaking into the Batcave. She tries her own codes first, unsurprised when they donāt work, and glad that she wonāt have to wait until the end of patrol to speak to someone, as sheās sure Batman will have been alerted to the unsuccessful attempt. The actual breaking ināif it can even be called that, since she didnāt break anythingāis a fun little exercise in skill.
It doesnāt take her long, since the defenses are almost exactly the same as at home, so she knows how to disable and move past them, but itās good to keep her skills sharp. By the time someone else shows up, Cass is sitting in the chair in front of the Batcomputer, one foot pulled up while she uses the toes of her other to slowly spin herself in circles.
