Part 2 Vegan #Charsiu #baos aka #bbqsteamedbuns Bao is the Vietnamese word for steamed buns. I grew up on bun baos and always watched my mom make these delicious bun baos as a #vietkid Traditionally, they are made with a mixture of ground pork, eggs and Chinese sausage so in order for us to #veganize it we made steamed buns two ways. First one was a #Charsiu buns made with mushrooms and the second is baos stuffed with Chinese five spice jackfruit. OMG, I was at my church and this guy is like… Walking around being weird. So he came over to me and asked me “Con la ai?” (Who are you in vietnamese). I was creeped out and replied “Con la con cua cha cua con.” (I’m the child of my father) Then he asked me “Cha cua con la ai?” (Who’s your father?) I just replied “Cha cua con la con cua ba ngoi con.” (My father is the child of my grandmother) he got so mad and walked away.
