Meet Maisie “Doodle” Lasalle. She’s 17 years old and kind of looks like Peyton List. She is the daughter of Gadget Hachwrench and Vince Lasalle. She is a first year.
Maisie was not always a Lasalle. She was a Collins for 5 & ½ years and having no mother and an alcoholic & abusive father did not make that easy for her. Lucky for her, someone reported about her father hurting her to the police, and that led to her being brought to an orphanage. It was when she turned 6 that she was adopted by Jennifer and Vince Lasalle.
It took Maisie a long time to warm up to her parents and her older brother, Miles. A few weeks, even months passed and the trauma she had as effect of the abuse she experience made it difficult for her to trust her new family. When she finally felt comfortable around them though, she realized that they would not hurt her the same way her father did. Ever since, she let them in her heart. She can not say the same about a lot more people.
Because of her childhood, it was difficult for Maisie to express her emotions and the only thing that helped her deal with those emotions was through drawing and painting what she sees in her nightmares and what she feels. One day, her parents saw her creations and realized how gifted she was at creating art so they provided her with the best supplies and teachers. It was not only therapeutic for her but it also helped her discover what it was she wanted to do with her life.

Miles Lasalle (older brother): With Miles not wanting a sibling and Maisie being afraid at first, the Lasalle siblings did not get along right off the bat. It was after that one night when Maisie woke up crying because of a nightmare (again) and when Miles stayed with her for the rest of the night that their relationship became a good one. She trusts him more than anyone. He is a hero in her eyes and she would do anything for him.
Darya Pelekai (best friend): Having someone to call her best friend is something Maisie is happy about. She believes that Darya is not as bad as everyone thinks and although she still is scared about being this close to the older girl, she is very grateful that she has Darya who is teaching her to be strong. In return, she gives the girl a chance to be who she really is.
Alani Ryan & Evelyn Pendragon (older sister figures): If there is one thing Maisie obviously cannot do, it is to defend herself. That is why having Alani & Evelyn in her life is a blessing in her eyes. Because of these two girls, she surprisingly has a sense of safety in this scary world.
Tate Barnes-Edwards, Fleur Beist & Wyatt Ryan (close friends): Like Tate, Fleur & Wyatt, Maisie prefers to be in her own world rather than be social. That is why she is grateful that she can have a good time with people even if she says nothing while in their presence. It is through creating art together that she bonds with these three and she enjoys every minute of it.
Winter Arendelle (someone she secretly looks up to): After everything Maisie has been through, it is difficult for her to be tough but she wishes to be, which is why she looks up to Winter. This is something she keeps to herself though because she is scared of her at times.
Freddie Tucker (someone she admires): Maisie enjoys watching Freddie build robots (usually in secret) and listening to talk to him about the process when he catches her, because she became curious after seeing her own mother’s drawings of robots and because she admires his hardwork & passion.
Persephone Speros, Ezra Pelekai & Odette Cheval (acquiantances): Although Maisie prefers being on her own most of the time, she would not turn down having Sephie, Ezra or Odee as company if they offered it.
Noah Maldette & Carrie Rogers (people she avoids): If there is one person Maisie would like to avoid at all costs, it is Noah because she does not like his habit of pranking people. She does not want to be a victim of his pranks or at least his attempts at it so she makes sure that she will never cross paths with him. As for Carrie, she has this feeling that she helps Noah with the pranks he does so Maisie makes sure to stay away from her as well.
