Dating someone for five years often brought challenges on how you can surprise someone on Valentines Day. However, Ki took that challenge in stride and often opted for the sillier gifts. Such as those Build-A-Bears aimed at adults. She presented Wilford with a bear wearing a red dressing gown and bottle of champange with it's glass. If squeezed, it would say, "I Love You". She presented it to her to-be husband, "Happy Valentines Day, baby,"
At some point, Wilford had heard a something about a 'successful relationship' including something about not setting impossible expectations to 'beat' over and over. Wilford and Ki never set that, which meant that Valentine's Day was just another day to remind the other that they were loved.
Wilford had great intentions to sneak in and surprise her, but Ki bet him to it. The (rather handsomely) dressed bear was immediately scooped up, and an accidental tight hold revealed the voice line.
"Babe!!!" He held it close to him, letting the voice line repeat again, only for something about everything to throw a memory to the forefront.
"Happy Valentine's Day! Wait, I got a - a - Er, hold on." The bear was reluctantly put down so he could open the door he walked through to lift a glittery gift bag that was swiftly presented to her. "I got a this!" A small bouquet of bright pink roses poked out of them, but that wasn't all. Curled up at the bottom was a long, knitted scarf that somewhat resembled Buttons. One end of the scarf had the plush head and front paws, while the other side had the back paws and tail.
"Love ya so much, Cupcake. Y've made my world a much better place."
