You know what I'm craving right now? A forced proximity story with a monster that's disgusting, nasty, and downright mean. This monster has no intention of finding their way to your heart. No, they want to yank it out and eat it in front of you while it's still warm. Maybe even literally.
Then there's you, the human who cares about being clean and eating cooked food and having a bed to sleep on. You aren't afraid to make your dissatisfaction known. You already have someone you're interested in, you claim, someone who isn't smelly and cruel and grotesque to look at.
Maybe deep down the monster actually cares about what you think of them and your rejection enrages them, only causing them to get even more up in your face. It's fighting all day and glaring poisonously at night as you fight for who gets to sleep on the bed. You always win these "fights" but you're yet to notice they're letting you win
