I do love the idea of Dream slowly letting himself feel negative feelings and question those around him in the beginnings of the story. It's telling that he can SEE all of the injustice of the world and wishes to fix it all but has no idea where to start or how he would begin.

Like a fly caught in a web as he sees the spider slowly crawling toward him.

Having his brother be the catalyst for his change was a great idea. I kind of imagine his brother being his only source of pure goodness. Someone he grew up with and knows is a good person inside and out. And to have Nightmare beaten and outcasted time and time again would be the equivalent of spitting on all the good he had done for the Villagers.

All the days of playing with the children and tending to the adults and elders being burned away when he went home.

give me one of your babies for an Au I'm planning to do! (plus combat ability and powers), this AU is based on the principle of the Doppelganger (a double of ourselves that resides somewhere in this world and aims to kill the original to take its place) :D

Combat Ability: He's gotten really good at controlling momentum, using the Coffin like a battering ram and swinging it hard at enemies. (his brother will be fine, the Coffin is very sturdy!) But since he's also very fragile, he tends to also use the Coffin as a shield to block attacks and save his 1 HP.
