“You don’t know that,” Cisco said with a small, and possibly hopeful grin on his face. “We do live in a world where there are superheroes and the unexplained. Is it really that hard to believe in wishes?” He moved a little closer to Lisa, chewing on his lower lip. “And I really, really wish you would go out to dinner with me. Tonight. Please…?”
Oh but she does... fairy tales and wishes are for little girls, who think their father’s will love them if they excel at stealing things. Lisa had lost her faith in those kind of dreams a long time ago.
Lisa hesitates, torn between saying yes - she does have an awfully hard time saying no when Cisco smiles at her like that - and turning him down. As selfish as she is, there’s a part of her that wants to protect Cisco. Protect him from her, from the lifestyle she lives.
“-and where would you take a girl, Cisco?” Instead of directly agreeing, she deflects.
