-who cries when someone dies in a movie: OMG, are you for real? I can't see either of them crying. Maybe Vance. MAYBE.
-who wears the ugly holiday garb: Oh GOD. These are just horrible. I'll say that they both do bc Vance's kids force them to. Heh.
-who pays for the meals: Vance again, this time bc Gibbs always gives him this LOOK when it comes time to pay the bill. "I paid you back!" "Yeah, almost 20 years later."
-who slams the oven door and who plays the trombone: GOOD GOD THESE ARE SO DUMB FOR THESE TWO. I think they save this for Kayla and Jared.
-who brings home stray animals: I can see Gibbs doing that, for some reason.
-who tells the 'dad jokes': Vance seems like kind of a dad joke guy.
-who wants kids more: Well, Vance already has two and Gibbs lost one (lol, so cheerful I am)... This is depressing, next question.
-who spends more cash: I think Vance does. Gibbs seems like the type of guy who just has a bunch of money stashed away somewhere.
-who buys the things in infomercials: Vance, again, bc I doubt Gibbs watches anything with commercials, just black & white westerns.
-who starts the snowball fights: I'll go ahead & say Gibbs here.
-who throws away the directions to things: Gibbs, definitely.
-who puts up holiday decor: That seems like a Vance thing.
-who sings in the shower more often: Vance. I can see it. (Wow, Gibbs got to do like nothing here, lol. That's what you get for asking me one of my grumpy old man ships. I LOVE IT THOUGH.)

Vance and Gibbs
All aboard the good ship Vibbs? Hell yes.
Who kills the bugs: Gibbs, though Vance warns him not to use his gun in the house. Who hogs the sheets: Vance, and Gibbs gets all grumpy about it. Who bottoms/tops/dom/sub: This is something I’ve actually thought a lot about & I still cannot decide. I really have a hard time seeing Gibbs as anything other than a top, BUT there’s this whole authority thing with Vance, too. But I think Gibbs tops, Vance bottoms.Who hates mornings: Vance, because… (see next answer) Who’s cranky before they had their coffee: Do I even need to answer this one? (It's Gibbs, btw.)Who’s doesn’t like their mother in law: Well, how about OUCH let’s not answer that one. Who drives: Gibbs, after a long argument about it, bc Vance drives like a grandma. Who gets horny in awkward public places: (this is where I feel like I need to apologize to my followers, but lol get used to it, I ship all the weird things) Gibbs. Do you really think he only shuts down the elevator to yell at people? Come on. Who had a scene phase: OMFG. Neither of them, please and thank you. They’re both prone to being a little emo, though. Who wore braces: Aww. Vancers. :D Who got bullied: We know Gibbs did (to some extent - see flashbacks in Heartland). I think Vance may have gotten bullied a little, too. Who collects ceramic elephants: Really now. Vance, I suppose.

Seriously just stuck on that Vibbs scene, lol. It really adds a whole new dimension to their relationship (no matter how you view it) & I love that. It’s already super complicated & this just added another layer. And Tony WAS fantastic, I agree.
Yes, it's amazing to me to see how their relationship has evolved from where it once was. At some point in the history of this show, the whole Vance/Gibbs thing used to piss me off, but I get why they used to butt heads so often, and love that they still have moments of misunderstanding each other. Except now they make an effort to find some common ground. Gibbs is right, they are two different men, and I don't think Gibbs wants Vance to turn out like him, and he won't because Vance still has his kids. I like that despite their differences they do look out for each other. Plus they are played by two very powerful actors imo, so it's always a joy on some level to see them in a scene.
Okay, don't really get what the case was. But the episode was worth watching for the Vibbs at the end. If I didn't have so much schoolwork, I might possibly write a fic.
Goddammit.
