Toda vez que eu olho pro céu a noite
vocĂȘ vem a minha mente
aquele brilho enorme me recorda sua personalidade
sempre sorridente
me recordo de todas as nossas piadas internas
sinceridade sempre, independente do assunto
a lua me lembra vocĂȘ, brilhante e me iluminando em meio a escuridĂŁo
e as estrelas me lembram nossos momentos de amor
nada disso Ă© algo que me faz bem
eu sofro

Hundreds of asylum seekers stranded on Greeceâs eastern Aegean islands who ought to have been moved to the mainland or deported are putting unnecessary pressure on the already-crowded facilities, Kathimerini understands.
From Vermont to Iowa
Burrell and Sarah Ferguson Viall, my g-g-g-g-grandparents, left a small, challenging paper trail. Folks just didnât know what to make of Burrellâs first name. For years I didnât connect Merel Viall of Hanover, New York and Russell Viall of Jackson County, Iowa to Burrell, but they are all one and the same. At least itâs spelled right on their headstone (maybe):
âMaybeâ, because his son Burrill Jr. was buried as Burrill, not Burrell.
The 1850 US Census for Union Township, Jackson County, Iowa tells us that Burrell Sr. was born in Vermont in 1793, and Sarah was born in New York in 1801.
In the 1820 US Census we find them in Hanover, Chautauqua County, New York. According to the History of Summit County, Ohio, Burrell and Sarah and their 5 living children moved the 100 miles to Summit County, Ohio in the winter of 1831 on a sled.
Burrell and family werenât the only Vialls in the Summit County area. His brother Bennett moved there in 1830. Bennettâs son, John Fletcher Viall, remained in the area and was alderman, constable, and secretary of the Cemetery Association. Viall Lodge, the gate house of the East Akron Cemetery, is named in his honor:
The 1850 Census also tells us that by 1850 Burrell and Sarah had moved 500 miles and settled in Iowa on a farm in Jackson County, near their sons Sullivan (my 3g-grandfather) and William and their families. The History of Jackson County, Iowa says their son John Nelson Viall came to Iowa in 1848, and, in 1850, returned to Ohio to bring his family out. He had a furniture business in Maquoketa, the Jackson County seat.
Burrell and Sarah, had 12 children, 6 in New York (though Elzina died as a baby) and 6 in Ohio. Eleven of the 12 lived into adulthood: Burrill Jr., Eliza, Sullivan, John Nelson, William, Mary, Julia, Adeline, Clark, Amelia, and LaFayette.
Burrell died 2 days before Christmas and Sarah died 4 days into the new year during the winter of 1862/1863. They are buried together in Sterling Cemetery.
