Heyy i wanted to request something again because your work is genuinely so amazing!!!
I don’t really mind if it’s Vi or Sevika, but one of them x a Nonbinary Reader.
Reader usually being either dysphoric or neutral about who they feel in their body, they never feel fully themselves but don’t care that much (because there’s more important things in life to worry about), but one day they wear something and feel actually euphoric about it and really happy in their gender and then Vi/Sevika has to hear about it a lot. Something along those lines would be great.
Also do you think you could do it in the main cannon AU? And maybe do Reader more masc leaning and they’re naturally really feminine (like body and stuff)? Fully fine if you want to change that though if you want it to be more inclusive, it’s just how I present personally.
Thank you so much for reading this and possibly writing it!!! This ideas based on something that happened to me the other day when I went to the beach lol. 🤍🤍
Thank you so much! 🌷
I hope this is okay! I have no personal experience with gender dysphoria so I hope this makes sense and reads correctly. Let me know if there’s anything I need to change! 🩷
Sevika & Vi x Non-binary!Reader - The Right Reflection
Summary: You experience a rare moment of gender euphoria. Excited to share that happiness, you turn to your partner and find nothing but love and acceptance.
Sevika -
You had never hated your reflection.
That was the strange part.
You knew there were days when looking in the mirror felt uncomfortable, when the shape staring back at you felt like it belonged to someone else. There were days when your body felt too soft, too feminine, too far away from the person you carried around in your head. Other days, you could look at yourself and feel almost nothing at all. A shrug. A passing thought. Something you would deal with when you had time.
And in Zaun, time was a luxury.
There were bigger things to worry about than whether you felt perfectly at home in your own skin. There were fights, jobs, bills, survival. You had learned to carry the discomfort the same way everyone carried something in the Undercity. You tucked it away and kept moving.
Then came the day you put on something that changed everything.
It wasn’t anything dramatic. Nothing that would make anyone else stop and stare. Just a new outfit, something that sat differently on your shoulders, something that softened the parts you wanted softened and sharpened the parts you wanted seen. The kind of clothes that made your reflection look less like a stranger wearing your face and more like you had finally stepped into it.
You stood there for a long moment.
Actually seeing yourself.
A grin slowly crept across your face before you could stop it.
You looked good.
You looked right.
And the strange thing was, there was no effort in it. No trying to convince yourself. No searching for the version of you that felt closest. You were just there, existing, and for once your body felt like it belonged to you.
Sevika noticed immediately.
She always noticed.
You found her at The Last Drop, leaning against the bar with her usual unimpressed expression, and the second her eyes landed on you, something in her face shifted.
Recognition.
“There’s that smile,” she muttered.
You tried to play it cool, but you failed horribly.
“I look good, don’t I?”
The corner of Sevika’s mouth lifted. “You wear that confidence well, sweetheart.”
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t hide the happiness spilling through you. “I actually feel good. Like really good.”
The teasing disappeared from her expression.
Sevika knew you had never made a big deal out of your gender. She knew there were days you struggled and days you didn’t. She knew you didn’t always have the words for it, and she had never once pushed you to explain something you weren’t ready to explain.
Instead, she stepped closer and reached for your hand.
“You deserve to feel like yourself, darling.”
Simple.
Straightforward.
Sevika’s way.
Your fingers curled around hers, and suddenly the outfit wasn’t the thing making you feel whole anymore. It was the way she looked at you. Like there had never been anything missing. Like you had always been exactly who you said you were.
“You’re staring,” you whispered.
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
Her thumb brushed over your knuckles.
“Because I like seeing you happy.”
Vi -
Vi had always been good at reading people.
It came from years of surviving. From learning how to tell when someone was scared, angry, lying, or hurting before they ever said a word.
So of course she noticed the difference.
You walked into the room with a confidence you didn’t usually carry. Your shoulders sat differently. Your smile came easier. You looked comfortable in a way that made Vi pause halfway through whatever story she had been telling.
“Whoa.”
You immediately looked nervous. “What?”
Vi blinked, then smiled.
“No, no. Sorry. I just…” She looked you over, her grin growing. “You look really happy.”
That was the thing that got you.
Because you were.
You were really, genuinely happy.
Most of the time, your relationship with yourself was complicated. Sometimes you felt disconnected from your body. Sometimes you felt fine. Sometimes you wondered if you were supposed to care more, if you were supposed to have stronger feelings about it all.
But this?
This was different.
This was waking up and putting something on and feeling the pieces of yourself click into place.
You tugged at your clothes, suddenly shy despite how excited you had been to show her.
“I don’t know how to explain it.”
Vi’s expression softened.
“You don’t have to.”
“I just feel…” You laughed, shaking your head. “I feel like me.”
Vi’s whole face changed.
Because she understood that feeling.
Maybe not in the exact same way, maybe not with the same words, but she understood what it meant to spend years fighting to become someone you could finally be proud of.
She walked over and wrapped her arms around you, squeezing you close.
“Well, whatever it is… I like it. You’re hot, cupcake.” (🤭)
You laughed into her shoulder. “That’s such a Vi thing to say.”
“Yeah, well.” She shrugged against you. “I mean it.”
You hugged her back, letting yourself enjoy it.
The warmth. The excitement. The strange, wonderful feeling of looking at yourself and not searching for what was wrong.
Vi pulled back just enough to look at you properly.
“For what it’s worth, I’ve always seen you.”
Your chest tightened.
She smiled, softer now.
“Even on the days you didn’t.”
And somehow that meant more than any perfect outfit ever could.
