As you can tell, I tend to get very angry about the Miss Clue games, more angry than I usually am (and that’s saying something).
I was thinking about it because I spent 20 bucks on a game that glitched out multiple times and froze on me twice (DO. NOT. BUY. PERIL IN PEMBERLY) I realized why I was so pissy about it. Because I legit think the Miss Clue games have some potential.
Get some of their own ideas, have better gameplay and voice acting, change the interfaces and the games could be pretty decent, possibly even good. I actually like the idea that there’s some games that take place in different time periods. Wouldn’t that be so cool, have every game take place in a different time era? Solve a mystery during the hippy movement in the 70′s, solve something similar during the mine boom. Like, have this descendants of detectives and every generation has a different story to tell. A different mystery to solve. And have each descendant have a unique personality, different from their other ancestors so it’s constantly changing, but having the occasional game take place with the detective in modern day, because hey, you gotta have something familiar to come back to, right?
When people trade in good quality work for just pumping out a piece of shit just to make a quick buck-I think that’s a pet peeve of mine. That’s why the Disney reboots piss me off. Trade good quality movies for something cheap and lazy just to make something to pad your wallet.
That’s why everyone remembers The Sea of Darkness for Nancy Drew (best in the series because LGBT and good story and good characters WHAT) and forget shitty knock offs.
