Under the cut to avoid dash flood
- HidingtheHorror -
Main verse, goes along with Gale’s main story line. Typically will be set somewhere in the shows timeline.
- DisjointedDomains - (G5)
For the longest time, Gale watched and waited. Waited for a time when he wouldn't be seen as a monstrosity-- wouldn't be seen as an agent of destruction. Under the rule of Twilight Sparkle, eventually Equestria reached that stage. A point where was able to live as himself, and those centuries felt like an impossible dream to Gale. Too good to be true.
Unfortunately, this peace was not eternal. Once Twilight stepped down, he knew it was only a matter of time. An erosion that no one could stop. The change wasn't immediate, but it was easy to tell when he was no longer welcome. He'd been the first to go-- the first to blame for things going wrong.
Now, he lives an even more secluded life than he did beforehand. Living within a vast cave system, that he'd carved over the centuries. An endless span of tunnels, build below the ponies civilizations, where only he knew the map. Down here, with only time to his name-- he experimented more with his magic. Came to understand it better. Unaware that up above, the ponies that had scorned him, had lost all of their magic. It was only when a burst of magic so powerful-- so potent-- that he started to take notice of what was happening above.
Note: Sometimes this involves him moving top-side, primarily Maretime bay or Zephr Heights. Since an unknown Unicorn suddenly appearing in Bridlewood would definitely be noticed.

If there was a theme to this man's life, it would be "Survival". Orphaned as an infant, he fell into the care of a local catholic orphanage until the age of 9. He was given the name Gale by an older nun, due to how the wind howled when the child was found on their doorstep. It also became somewhat of a distasteful name, some even believing the child to be possessed, due to how the wind would always pick up whenever the child was disciplined. When that discipline was physical, the outside weather would quickly worsen into a storm.
Shortly after turning 9, he was adopted by an older woman named Ivory Wings. She was an older widow who had met the boy by chance. Separated from the group in a busy marketplace, she'd found and helped him back to the orphanage. Only to then ask about how the adoption process worked, as she'd very quickly grown attached. Seeing as the staff already disliked and wanted the child gone, they skipped the 2-parent requirement.
Ivory Wings died unexpectedly on the day Gale turned 14. Rather than be returned to the orphanage, or put into another one, Gale lived on his own. Forging papers in order to get a job, despite how little it paid and how few hours he got (since legally, you can only work so many when that young). In order to make up the difference, he took various odd-jobs that typically involved physical labor. School became a secondary concern during this time.
His body adapted quickly to the labor, and by the age of 16 it was easy for him to pass for much older. It was at this point, that some not-so-good people took notice of him.
A rather notorious gang, known as Odins horn, took notice of the young man who had been doing some odd-jobs for their members. Gale went along with them when they offered financial help. Despite the fact he'd been scraping by doing all these various jobs, he knew this couldn't continue forever. He had to get an education somehow, and they extended a hand when he needed it.
He spent 10 years paying back that debt. For a time he even worked in their ranks, his back bearing their insignia. They put him through school, yes, but their loans had an interest rate no one could pay back-- yet he managed to. Well, 'managed' was a bit of a lie.
In this verse Gale does still have chaos magic, but he can barely control it. Has no idea even where to begin. Although it was that magic that allowed him to detach himself from that gang. They finally let him go once they became scared of what he could do.
He now currently works as a High School therapist, trying to lead as peaceful of a life as he can.
- AmnesticAlly (Aka: The Owl House Verse )-
To say that Gale was an anomaly in the boiling isles would be an understatement. On top of that, he's likely the best healer on the continent, yet not a single person in the demon realm knows it, or rather, remembers it.
By all accounts, he shouldn't have survived infancy. Having been discovered on the shore of the boiling sea, in a poorly made boat no less. He was found by an older which during the time of 'wild witches' before Emperor Belos, and lived many happy years with her before he established his rule.
Those days were halted when she was almost captured by Belos's men, when Gale was about 14. She was one of the many witches that refused to adhere to Belos's beliefs, yet she was nowhere strong enough to fight them off. Unfortunately, Gale was.
No one walked away alive that day, including his adoptive mother. Gale had tapped into a part of himself he didn't even know existed, and couldn't control it once it was released. Spurred on by his emotions, eventually he was the only one left standing amidst a sea of red.
From that day, he was on his own. His mother had taught him all she knew in regards to healing magic, and he was able to provide for himself quite well that way. Although there was another type of magic that she specialized in, that she also passed onto him. Magic to alter memories, or more precisely, remove memories from short-term memory (in some cases long-term, but it's much more taxing). When blunders evidentially happened, it was in this way that he stayed off of Belos's radar.
In time, Gale realized that there was more to him than a bloodthirsty beast-- and not in a good way. Years upon years passed... yet his skin didn't wrinkle. Bones didn't grow weak. Hair didn't grey. Was this a curse? Or was it simply the blood that flowed through his veins? He didn't know, and feared anyone who might be able to give him those answers. Let alone feared himself, and what he might do in that other form. So over the years, he tried to learn how to harness it. How to ensure that day long ago would never repeat again... Even though he was successful, he still keeps everyone at an arms length. Only works in places where he'll be easily forgettable, despite his wealth of knowledge in regards to healing magic.
Now in days, there is a rumor that a well-skilled healer works in the Night Market. They days he shows up are random, but he doesn't charge much for his services, and doesn't ask questions. Despite how people try to remember his name, or anything about him-- it's almost like all of it is gone with the wind once the appointment is over...
- DesiringDismay -
After the rejection from Clover The Clever, Gale’s heart turned cold. Yes, he still remains hidden from the public eye. However his intentions are very different. He is essentially a villain working from the shadows. Using his Chaos at any given chance, to ruin others lives. His kind actions are only a manipulative ploy.
- AdolescentEyesore -
Takes place just after Gale leaves his adoptive mothers village, or just after Clover the Clever’s rejection. Essentially, his early days.
- MarvelousMonstrosity -
After the events of the rejection from his adoptive mothers village, Gale hides himself away inside of a mountain cavern system. He does not disguise himself, or believe that he should. He never meets Clover, never becomes a scholar, never becomes a therapist. Essentially, he cuts off ties with the outside world. If they wont accept him, what is the point? Given he has had less interaction with the outside world, he is more childlike here.
