Something else at the moment found in a galaxy far, far away (~*timely Star Wars joke*~, so clever… (☞゚∀゚)☞) is the video for Colombian/Canadian singer Tei Shi’s new single ‘Get It’ from her Verde EP.
DREAMTIGER (the team behind Tei Shi’s video for ‘See Me’) are behind the futuristic visuals for ‘Get It,’ using both scenes of the singer and footage via NASA’s analysis of Saturn and its 62 moons from its 2004 Cassini mission.
Something about the video’s solitary nature proves both eerie and magical. The stark close-up visuals of Tei Shi leave the viewer with nowhere else to turn, locked onto her face and made to give our full attention, while the Cassini mission footage throws us from the familiarity of Earth right into the cold, unknown territory of space. The unpredictable, off-kilter rhythm of the track also pulls us out of our comfort zone.
However, the dreaminess of Tei Shi’s soft, sultry vocals and the gentle muted keys soothe us, glittering against a dark and sparse soundscape you let spread through your veins. You feel like you are being swept a whole world away… or a whole universe. I’ve said it before in other reviews, but music videos that have a simple premise usually make an even bigger impact in the end. And this is one of them…
Tei Shi’s Verde EP is out now.

Tei Shi - See Me
“See Me” is the latest track off of Tei Shi’s Verde EP to receive a video. The Glass Animals produced song is paired perfectly with Colombian landscapes and cityscapes.
Tei Shi - See Me Video
Part of her last EP “Verde”, Tei Shi unveiled her new video “See Me” via Speakeasy.
Directed by Dreamtiger and Jonathan Wing, the video takes place mostly in Bogotá, Colombia.

While recording her album, the gorgeous and lovely Tei Shi, which we had the chance to meet back in May, did a wonderful performance at Dirty Live Studio. She performed her hit single “Basically”. Smooth performance. Can’t wait to see her perfom again in Belgium. Stream Tei Shi’s EP “Verde” on Highclouds.org

“Bassically” - Tei Shi
Tei Shi - Verde EP
Despite it only having 5 tracks, these are the best 5 tracks you'll ever hear. tei Shi is like a Skylar Grey 2.0. The two tracks that stood out the most was Can't Be Sure and See Me. Even though all five tracks are amazing nor skippable; these are the main two you have to listen out for. This is an artist on the rise. I highly suggest you keep listening to what music they put out.
