I don't know if I sent this in but for TBMD baby Jared
👀
ঌꕤ໒: ──── I have no idea what the OG meme for this was so I´ll just write a starter xd
ঌꕤ໒ ──── She quietly stepped behind Jared's chair, gently running her fingers through his hair. She sighed, her hand lingering for a moment. "You've barely spent any time with me lately." A small pout tugged at her lips before her expression softened. "I'm worried about you, you know." She glanced at the stack of books. "You can't keep burying yourself in these forever." ঌꕤ໒:
“I’m guessing you’re not here by accident.”
First meeting sentence starters. -> @therapardalis
"You are correct." He offered her his card from the inside of his suit-jacket. "I'm here on behalf of Mrs. Henderson. The boy's mother. She wants me to represent her from this day forth. And she wants me to let you know that any new discoveries, medical findings, statements be immediately shared with me before being released to the public. I'll see them over and decide what gets out into the world, in my client's best interests. My number's at the bottom of the card."

❝ noah, slow down. ❞ olivia laughs, admittedly a little out of breath as she ascends the final step of the staircase. figures the elevator would be busted when she has several bags of groceries to carry. her son runs ahead to the end of the hall where their apartment is, and then calls out to her that someone put flowers in front of their door. brows furrow, confused and a little defensive as she approaches their door. she can never be too careful, and sometimes criminals with a serious vendetta can and will make threats with gifts outside the door. she unlocks the apartment so noah can run inside, and then inspects the bouquet. she sees the note attached, and when she reads it she is hit with relief first, and then her heart skips a beat. with a smile she heads inside with the groceries and the roses, finding a glass vase to put them in and sets them in the center of the dining table. ❝ alright noah, spaghetti or pizza? ❞
that was two days ago when she received the flowers. she barely had time to think about them as they dealt with the awful process of a trial. four victims of sexual assault, and three of them backed out of testifying at the last minute. having to prove witness tampering had taken up a lot of her time, as well as testifying herself. they had been up against that bastard buchanan too, she hated that man. he was a piece of work and a wicked defense attorney. kind of funny that she was angry because of a defense attorney when she was currently on her way to secretly meet one. jared, while kinder than buchanan was, was equally if not more frustrating in the court room.
oh well, the important thing was the perp was convicted of rape on all four counts, and he would not be seeing the free air for a number of years. her steps are hurried as she moves down the path through the park, it was already ten after five. she was late and it was because of the court case, but she was done and that’s what mattered. on a bench not far she spotted him, and she smiled as she did a little jog to reach him quicker. ❝ hey. ❞ her breathing was a bit labored as she reached him. she didn’t hesitate to wrap her arms around him, savoring the warmth of him and the comfort of his hug. ❝ i’m sorry i’m late, court only just got out fifteen minutes ago. i rushed here as quick as i could. ❞

Jay spotted a man with what looked like a bag of lunch, he watched as he walked and started to follow him. His stomach growling and eyes flicking between the man and the bag in his hand. Cautious and skittish, he considered running and snatching the bag but that wouldn't do, he didn't want to get into trouble.
So what to do? Ask? He hated the idea of begging but what choice did he have? Driven by his stomach, Jay swallowed his pride and gently tapped on the man's back. "Can you spare some food, mister?" He asked, no please, no real manners but his eyes dropped to the bag. Oh he really hoped there was something edible in there.

"Wait, they actually said that? Out loud? In front of your whole class?"
Continued from here. @vercren
Horatio was in disbelief. There wasn't much that stunned the Lieutenant into silence, but this shocking revelation had definitely been one of them.
Even hours later, after holding the undeniable proof in his hands, he still couldn't believe it. Yet... it made sense. Everything clicked. The pieces had fallen into place. And it seemed as though he hadn't been the only one who did some digging. Though, he wasn't sure if it was for the same reason, but it definitely lead them in the same direction, eventually coming to the same conclusion.
"Neither did I." Horatio stated, his ocean blues looking down at the file on the table he had brought with him that held the results within. "But the name, your father's name, Frank Pryce. It's a name I found very familiar, but I couldn't remember why or from where," But it was a name he remembered hearing several times when he was young. Barely a teenager. "And then it came to me. My mother," may she rest in peace, Horatio thought with a sad smile, his heart aching at the thought of her. "She's where I remembered the name from. But it, uh, it never occurred to me that she was... well," he swallowed, gesturing to the file on the table.
But he wasn't mad at his mother. No. How could he be? The woman suffered so much and this man's father, Frank Pryce, seemed to be the one good thing in her life aside from her children. As big of a secret as he was...
Horatio then smirked at Jared's plea, but it wasn't in any way threatening. "As long as you don't hold it against me that tested your DNA without your knowledge," he said, figuring that made them even. They were both investigating the other and though the outcome was shocking, it showed that they weren't really that different. Quite literally.
"So..." Horatio said, eyes lifting to look at Jared again. "brothers..."

By the intensity of the DA's sigh it sounds as though he needs the coffee more than Spider-Noir does. White lensed eyes flicker toward Samantha who is quick to oblige his request. A please would do wonder but he supposes it is easy to forget your manners when you're tired. Besides he's not really in the position to judge as a masked vigilante who insisted on a walk in appointment. "I do plan to talk to you. It's why I came here," he assures Jared, hands raised in a brief motion of mock surrender. "Although I'm not here to talk about me. I have some questions for you regarding a case I'm working on."
Ebony trench coat flutters as he reaches into an interior pocket and pulls out a manilla envelop. Tossing it onto his desk, he adds, "Meet Jared Price, an attorney who was recently murdered. And not too far from here at that. I couldn't help but notice your names were similar... There's a chance whoever killed the other Jared truly intends to kill you."
