No, our bunnies are both fixed! No baby bunnies are planned, ever. I wouldn’t want to spread Benjie’s terrible temper to any other little bunnies (and future owners), and there are way too many rabbits in the world without good homes. I wouldn’t want to increase that load. Hopefully they will be able to live as companions to each other. Benjie has a history of not eating and being generally depressed if we leave him alone for longer hours (having school and work) so we hoped that he would be more active with a friend in his own size. Introducing rabbits peacefully to each other can be both difficult and stressful though, and we haven’t had much success yet. We were making some progress this summer, but then Luna went into heat and became a little hormone monster herself so we decided to have her spayed as well. (Benjie was already neutered when we adopted him) We have had them living separately since Luna’s spay in August. During the days after Christmas we’ll stay home 24/7 and supervise them in the hope of getting Benjie to stop being such a cranky dominant little bun. I think he really needs a bunny friend. Rabbits are known to be more peaceful and live longer happier lives with a rabbit companion. As long as both are fixed of course. (Once they get along we’ll be able to have them both living freely in half the apartment as well, I hate having to use cages and fences.)
