“Well, well, wasn’t expecting you here.” She spun the stir stick in her glass and then took a sip, “Should I make you something?” Seeing the ol beez topside was always a bit unnerving. Mainly because she preferred to not deal bureaucrats, she liked her ability to do as she liked. She started filling a shaker with ice and pulling various alcohols from the wall.

“You’re definitely not old enough to be in here, kid.” She leaned across her bar and smirked, “I’m not against teen age drinking however. So what can get for you? Shirley temple? Screwdriver?”

      “Welcome to Nightshade, take a barstool. I’ll be with you in a tic.” She grabbed a clean mixer and moved back to her newest client. “What can I get for ya? Not everyday I get a fine feathered friend in my bar.” That wasn’t completely true. Gideon and Kira were in here a lot but they worked next door. “I got all sorts of things.”

“Mom?” She looked at her over a few times. “Shit, that is you. Well can’t say I’m completely surprised you’re down here. But in my bar that is a surprise.” Vera moved around the bar and stood in front of her mother, “You’ve not changed at all. Heard you like candy crush, and the sound of music? Really?” She waved for her to follow back to a quieter area of the bar. “So what brings you to my den of iniquity?”

      “That shipment is four, are you listening? FOUR days late so no I’m not happy.” She stood outside her bar the phone pressed to her ear. She waved as Gideon walked past into his shop next to her bar. “You got until tomorrow or I will rain hell fire on you.” Vera was of course speaking literally, she stuffed the phone back into her pocket and headed inside. This early in the day the bar mostly served artisan coffees. She blinked seeing the bright light in her bar. “Bloody hell turn down the shine eh?”

Her fingers flitted over the Belladonna, her finger trailed along the edge of the leaf. “Oh my good little devil.” She stood plucking a few of it’s berries and placed them into the basket she carried with her. Making her way back to her bar she was surprised to see someone sitting at her bar. “Well, hello there darling. What can I get for you?”

“Um...is this like a mother son thing? Then sure.”

“That is kind of the whole point isn’t it? We’re Fallen Angels, we’re literally told to tempt as much as possibly no one said I couldn’t taunt my fellow demons.” She smirked and grabbed a glass for him, “You want a drink of not hot stuff.”
