Now the AU itself isnt all that different from classic. Except Sans is in Hotland as well, now. Seemingly have swapped outfits in a flash, too! He works with Mettaton to ‘stop you’, but in reality he’s just there because poking fun at Mettaton is fun.

The AU diverges FURTHER in the Genocide timelines. Past the Ruins is where things begin to differ. Ven warns the human that, hey man! You’re cruisin’ for a bruisin’! If Genocide continues, THERE IS NO PAPYRUS FIGHT. Venusto refuses to let his brother fuel the human’s massacre even further. Waterfall remains. Mostly the same. Venusto is a bit more of a menace, telling Undyne exactly where she can find you.

Once Undyne falls, Ven and Mettaton work together to continually block your path with puzzles and stuff while Alphys evacuates the underground, and even informs Asgore(we’ll get back to that later). In between these puzzles, Ven has been upgrading NEO to be more durable, so Mettaton gets a fight similar to Undyne. Because honestly? He deserves it! NEO is so cool and for what! But. Like everything else. Mettaton is, in fact, eventually defeated.

Now, the Judgement Hall. Were you expecting a fight with Ven? Because OHOHOHO YOU’RE DEAD WRONG. Ven judges you. But in the end. It’s Asgore who you fight. And he’s not happy that you killed his ex-wife, who showed you NOTHING but kindness.

This fight is designed to be unfair, and borderline impossible. But if you do manage to beat him? Congratulations!

Venusto kills you before you get the chance to SAVE again. So in other words?

There is no winning the Genocide route. You are destined to lose. You are destined to RESET.
