Today, a 30 year old male horse got cast in the corner of his stall. He was flipped over before we arrived. On our arrival, we flipped him onto a sled designed to move horses. We then slid the horse to an area where we could place an artificial high directional tripod over the animal. The animal was slung using straps that helped distribute his weight safely. We lifted the animal with a 4:1 mechanical advantage rope system and stayed on scene until the horse could stand on his own. 📸: @415firephoto ___________________________ Ventura County Fire Dept.
