First off, Morgan, I’m sorry that I made you the godmother and namesake of my second child without asking first, but seriously I think we both knew that was happening once we got past the hero thing and needing to make Lucy the first godmother. 

Secondly, I’m really really sorry that I can’t make your birthday (it’s still weird that you share one but whatever), but the doctors have kind of strapped me down to this bed and I think they’ve hexed Robin to have a spine when it comes to me for once because he’s not letting me leave. I’m going to come down with presents as soon as possible, yeah?

Oh, and don’t worry about Inigo too much. I’m sure he’s okay, wherever he is - and we both know he wouldn’t forget about your birthday. Maybe he’ll even show up, or at least send you something. 

I’m still going to punch him for you when he shows up again, though. 

His fingers lace with hers. It’s the middle of the night of course, but he knows what day it is. He hums as he brings her hand to his chest, and although they’re already closely entwined, he needs her to be closer.

Leaning forward, he presses his lips to her forehead, closing his eyes. He almost wants her to stay asleep a little longer. She’s so perfect when she sleeps...

“Do you know what today is?” He murmurs softly into her hair, pressing his face into it. “It’s the most wonderful day of the year. The anniversary of what became the happiest day of my life. Do you know that, my chocolate drop?”

AUGH yeah it gets like 1000000000000000 times worse when u throw morgan into the mix because like... cynthia is lucina’s sister on that file and i like to think of morgan and cynthia as bffs so she sees lucina as like a cool older sister like cynthia does... and then because lucina marries her older brother she IS basically her cool older sister she looks up to...

the question is if it’s WORSE to think that lucina went behind laurent’s back to do it

“Get out, Morgan.” Cynthia said quietly, strapping on her armor. She didn’t look at her friend, couldn’t bear to let her see the shame on her face as she got ready to go on a mission that she had no intention of coming back from. “Just...look after Haley and Mini-Morgan until I get back. I’ll owe you one.”

Hopefully that would be enough to get the tactician off her back. While she was her friend, looking at her since her husband’s death had been hard. Why had Morgan’s father gotten to live, when her own Robin had died? There wasn’t any justice in the world. 

“I’ll be back in a week. Nothing to it.” She said, a dull sound in her normally cheery voice. “You won’t even notice I’m gone.”
