Naminé and Ventus partly falling in love--or this at least being the first thing they realize they have in common with each other, maybe, before they of course find much more--because they both adore Chirithy.
Nomura drew Naminé holding Chirithy in that one art. And I think that’s what she’s holding in this new 20th anniversary art preview.
And obviously Ventus loves Chirithy, of course.

This is a very half-assed coloring job. Usually, I'm much better at coloring than this. But I'm afraid I'll ruin the picture if I do more with it (since the lines are so light, and I was stupid and didn't make a copy of this before I started coloring it).
I know I still have a lot to learn... but this is honestly my best drawing thus far, based on my favorite AU Kingdom Hearts fanfiction "White Knight". I actually somewhat imagined Ventus and Naminé in different poses for this scene. But when I based Naminé's pose off of a scene of Cordelia from Angel the Series, it ended up this way instead. And while it's different, I'm not complaining.
