May I request some headcanons of any character walking in on their S/O singing a love song about how they feel about them? For example, like Childe walking in on his S/O singing Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. You could choose any song for each of the characters, I just thought it’d be a cute idea! Also, you can choose any characters that you think suit the prompt best!

You’d be alone in your shared home, taking care of some chores and getting ready before you set out for the day.

Kaeya often worked at night, or was drinking, and you were used to him returning in the early morning and waking you up as he crawled into bed with you. But when he didn’t, it means he was already off to work for the day.

That doesn’t mean the gentle, chaste kisses he left you in your sleep didn’t go unnoticed. Sometimes they made their way into your dreams.

I feel like as you got ready, you’d sing this tune, thinking of Kaeya. It reminded you of the times you’d dance with him at the Angel’s Share to the tune of a bard’s lyre.

Surprise surprise! Kaeya took off work for the day. He had indeed been working all throughout the night and into the early morning, and coming home to you singing such a tune about him made his heart flutter.

Kaeya didn’t announce himself until you had finished your song, relishing the calming feeling your voice gave him.

Without a word, he’d wrap his arms around your waist and set his head on your shoulder.

“Dance with me?” He teased, leaning into you as he swayed you two gently back and forth.

While he is definitely a big jokester and will 100% tease you about this later, right now he just wants to be in your arms as you sing to him again.

Childe 🐋

Again, he isn’t able to be home much. You try your best to follow him wherever his work may take him, just so you’re a little closer to him, but he’s often very busy.

Another scenario where you’re working on the household chores or something alike and he comes home unexpectedly. He maaaay be avoiding work, but you can’t get mad at him!

You think of him any time you hear this song, and early on in your relationship it also started to make Childe think of you.

You danced around your kitchen, a small radio playing the tune as you sing along and prepare food for yourself. You hadn’t even heard the door open or noticed a certain Harbinger leaning in the doorway, watching his beloved dance around to your song.

He joins in a duet, grabbing your hands as he pulls you to dance with him. Your performance doesn’t falter- you’ve done this many times after all. But when the song finishes, your arms wrap around his neck as you pull him down into a hug. Lord, how you missed his stupid face.

The radio continues playing music and your reunion is spent dancing in your kitchen, the food you were once preparing long ignored as your attention shifted to your lover.

Xiao 🍃

How could you not be enticed by those golden eyes of his? This song reminds you of them, and helps cure the loneliness you feel when he has to leave the Inn to exterminate some threat off in south Liyue.

However, you know should you really need him, his name upon your lips would summon him in an instant. But you’re patient, and can wait for him to return home. No need to worry him or make him think there’s an emergency.

But Xiao thinks of you the entire time he’s away, and cannot wait for the time he returns to your arms. Even though he’s not one for physical affection, after days without seeing each other he can tolerate some hugs and cuddling!

You actually notice when he returns very quickly, and stop everything you’re doing to jump into his arms and savor the protective aura he gives you.

“Can.. you sing that again?” He requests, his arms finding their way around your shoulders as he places a gentle kiss to the top of your head.

You happily comply, and even convince him to join you after he learns the words.

The color yellow starts to make him think of you, too.

I love this request sm,,,, thank you! I hope you don’t mind me adding little drabbles for them :,)

On the off chance you lose your glasses, Albedo doesn’t mind avoiding his work for the day to assist you.

He’ll hold your hand and guide you around, handing you things you need, etc.

He might even take the day off to help you find them... sometimes you wonder if they go missing on purpose so he has an excuse to get away from his alchemy students.

He’s keeping a careful eye on you as you use your hands to navigate around, making sure you don’t hurt yourself. If you need to leave the house, he goes with you to make sure you stay safe and can get what you need to be done, done.

You awoke with a hum, stretching as you reached for your glasses. Normally, they rested on a small table next to your’s and Albedo’s shared bed, but... they weren’t there. You sat up and squinted, looking at the nightstand to see if you had just missed them. You leaned over the edge of the bed - maybe they had fallen overnight. Nothing. The stirring woke up the sleepy alchemist next to you, and he plopped his head on your shoulder. “What is it, my love?” He inquired, feeling the tenseness in your shoulders.

“I lost my glasses.” You answered, feeling around other parts of the desk. Albedo hummed into the crook of your neck before sitting up himself, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he helped you look.

You two spent the morning looking for those darn glasses with no success. Eventually, you gave up yourself, flipping back into the bad and covering your face with your hands as you groaned. You’d never be able to get your errands done without them. Albedo had kept looking, using his blessed clear eyesight to search for the frames. He checked the bathroom, around the bed, in the drawers, the kitchen... they were nowhere to be found. The ashy blonde returned to the bedroom with a proposition. He offered to help you run your errands, and leave his students under the careful watch of Sucrose. You felt bad, but.. it was more time with him. He held your hand as you walked through the streets of mondstadt, guiding you along as you run your daily errands.

While Xiao protected the lands of Dihua Marsh from evil spirits, you helped out the people of Wangshu Inn with their commissions and errands.

Sometimes, you took them from the adventurers guild in Liyue Harbor, and those were the ones that often ran long and were more dangerous. And Xiao had told you, if you ever need him, to call out his name and he will be there.

You have never lost your glasses before, you’re usually always very careful with them since losing them would be a major disadvantage during your tasks.

When you do, Xiao is very worried and hovers around you until you find them - like a ,,mother hen” - making sure you don’t hurt yourself or fall.

Xiao usually spent his nights out on the balcony of Wangshu Inn, looking out over the nightly landscape of Dihua Marsh and the fading lights of Liyue Harbor in the distance. You’re usually back by now.. what could’ve held you up? He tries not to worry, he knows you would’ve called him if you needed help... so hearing his own name being called along the whisper of the night breeze is a scare for him. Even more so when he realizes it’s your voice he’s hearing.

He’s gone from the balcony in a heartbeat, disappearing and reappearing next to you in a plume of black smoke. Without your glasses, you couldn’t tell the odd smog was Xiao, and it startled you. You screamed, but the familiar colors of Xiao’s clothing calmed you back down.

“ARCHONS, Xiao, you scared me half to de-“

Your words died in your mouth as you were cut off by Xiao’s worried words and actions.

“Where’s the danger ?? Are you hurt ?? Why did you call ?? What held you up so long ?? Wh.. where are your glasses?” He spoke, tilting his head as he turned his attention to you and looked. He had been in such a state of disarray he thought your calling had been because you needed help in a fight, not help getting home.

“I lost them while fighting some hilichurls and ran. I don’t know where I am or where the inn is, so I called you to help.” You murmured, almost embarrassed about losing them. Xiao sighed. Not in disappointment, no, but in relief. You weren’t hurt, and you were safe. Although, maybe a little muddy. You must’ve been fighting near water.

“Come then, I’ll take you back to the inn.”

Diluc, Kaeya, & Zhongli ;; finding their s/o ‘s sketchbook

note ;; me and my friend have talked about this before !!! I’m surprised it hasn’t been requested before now. As always, thank you for sending in a request, my dear! <3

He had mistaken your small sketchbook for his notepad, and had accidentally taken it with him to the Angel’s share. He has a notebook similar he uses to write down orders, so when he opens up the book to find a well sketched portrait of himself - he’s flushed.

Ohh poor boy was so caught off guard. He closes the sketchbook and slides it into his pocket, not wanting to invade your privacy... maybe he’ll sneak a few looks later during his shift.

He does end up caving into his curiosity, though. Diluc wants to know how you see him - because he’s never known you were drawing him when you had your nose in this book, pencil in hand.

Diluc gives it back to you when he gets home from his shift, pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head as he apologizes for snooping. But he does thank you, as the drawings of him are lovely.

He wants you to paint a portrait of both of you so he can hang it up in the same hallway as his father and mother’s portrait, but he doesn’t want to make you feel obligated to do it. He’s pretty easy for you to read though, and you surprise him with a painting as a gift.

He loves it (obv) and it quickly earns a golden, intricate frame and is hung in the hallway.

What’s this? Your sketchbook?

Better hope you don’t have any self indulgent doodles of him. The man will never let you live it down </3

He also finds it on accident, but isn’t shy about peeking through it. Kaeya feels his heart flutter when he sees such carefully drawn profiles of himself.

He can see the love you put into these. It makes him feel all giddy and like a kid with a crush.

When he arrives home with it he will teeeeeease you, but he means well.

“I’m no fan of prying, but I just had to see what you were doing when you have your nose in that book and glance up at me.”

Honestly, Zhongli is too respectful to look through your personal book without your explicit permission. He’s very polite and proper, that’s for sure!

But, he does ask you if you’ve ever drawn him. You invite him to look through your sketchbook whenever, and he’ll take advantage of this.

Seeing your drawings of landscapes - like places around Liyue Harbor, makes him soften up. He really does adore you, and everything you do. When you’re passionate enough about Liyue Harbor to take such time and care to draw it this way, it makes him feel happy.

And your drawings of him.. they make him absolutely melt. He’s asked to take one out and put it in a frame, and you ended up making him an entirely knew drawing for it.

But Zhongli would’ve been happy with anything, as long as it was done with your hand.

Depending on your position, you could’ve been a stepping stone in Childe’s chase for the gnosis or a mountain. Either way, he’s your problem!

Although, once you two get over your initial bickering and rivalry, it’s a pretty straight road into a relationship from friendship.

You cover him as much as you can without getting into trouble, but sometimes he gets caught and you need to bail him out.

Time spent with Childe is often just talking in your home. Talking about yourselves, your worries, or the good parts of the day.

You worry about him a lot - he’s reckless when he fights and that often leads to big injuries. But he made a pinkie promise to always return home to you, and after learning the Snezhnayan rhyme attached to the promise you’re confident he won’t break it.

“You make a pinkie promise, you keep it all your life. You break a pinkie promise, I throw you on the ice. The cold will kill the pinkie that once betrayed your friend, the frost will freeze your tongue off so you never lie again.”

Ganyu ❄️

You guys were friends long before you became co-workers, and eventually lovers

I’d imagine you were also an Illuminated Beast like she is, if you were mortal she would have a hard time letting herself love you.

However, if you did manage to slip under the the wire as a mortal, congratulations! You must be very charming.

It’s pretty obvious that Ganyu overworks herself, but you try your hardest to pull her from her work and get her to rest.

She finds your company calming, and a lot of your quality time together is sleepy cuddling <3

Ganyu knows your perfectly capable of handling yourself, but she can’t help but feel the need to protect you. Even from invisible enemies like burnout and anxiety, Ganyu has remedies she shares with you.

Keqing ⚡️

Similarly to Ganyu, you also became closer through your work in the Qixing!

Keqing often looks out for you, and helps you with your work if it becomes to much for you to carry on your own.

Keqing is the Yuheng of the Qixing, and holds a lot of responsibility with that title. She’s in charge of land, livelihood management, construction, and real estate. Because of this, she knows how to expertly pick out a home for you two that has the most lovely views and is close to the restaurants and shops :)

Quality time with Keqing can be messing around - trying to make dinner yourselves, trying out interesting hobbies, etc..

Or, the more romantic side of things. Dinners at fancy restaurants like the Luili Pavilion, or walks along the harbor.

Xiao has had a lot of experience with gods and archons. It takes a lot of trust for him to be close with a god, and you feel honored to have earned it.

While he is duty-bound to Liyue, he still makes time for you to come and visit your nation. Although his visits can never last long, it’s the thought that counts.

You can Xiao became friends in a rather odd way. You had traveled to Liyue Harbor and your presence had triggered an aggressive response from Xiao. He tried to attack you- an unknown god in his home. Xiao did apologize after the misunderstanding was cleared though.

You don’t make contact with your people very often, much like Rex Lapis, so this leaves you with more time to visit Xiao in Liyue than he has time to come visit you. Unfortunately, you can never stay for very long either. You’re still an archon bound by responsibilities.

Xiao prefers to hang out with you in comfortable silence, reveling in your company as you enjoy the gentle breeze at the top of Wangshu Inn. Sometimes you’ll split an Almond Tofu or have some tea together.

You and Xiao never officially declared your love for each other, your relationship just progressed to that point gradually. You both knew it, there was no need to ‘confess’. Xiao called it a mortal thing, anyway.

While he wishes to spend all his time with you, he is still bound by a contract with Liyue. He can’t let his feelings get in the way of his purpose, but he never forgets you. You are also very busy all the time, swamped with responsibility from the electro nation.

To solve this issue, you and Xiao write back and forth together. A bird made of condensed Electro and Anemo energy carries your letters to and fro. The letters arrive quickly - due to the fact it’s not a real bird that’s delivering them and that your nation and Liyue are neighbors.

As you and Xiao became close enough to openly love each other, he also opened up about his past and current state with his karmatic debt. You’re there to comfort him, you reassure, but you don’t open up about your issues.

Using humor to cope with your problems, you crack lighthearted jokes to Xiao to try and put a smile on his face throughout it all. You sign the end of your letters with little knock-knock jokes or things of the like.

Diluc 🔥

Diluc’s wine industry supplies most of Teyvat, including your nation. You don’t remember meeting him for the first time, but you always made time to go and pick up your bottles from the winery. He seemed to make time to give it to you personally, too.

With every time you came to pick up your order of wine, your chats with Diluc for longer. Master Diluc has no idea you’re the electro archon at this moment, he just finds his customer intriguing and friendly.

It may have been the air of superiority you had around you that helped you two consider each other friends. Diluc has no time for people who just want to kiss up to him, I imagine. He’d rather spend his time with people who don’t see him as a superior. Just an equal.

You invited Diluc for wine sometime, which is how you learned he didn’t have a taste for alcohol. How interesting, a winery owner who despises wine. You instead invited him for virgin drinks, to suit his tastes. You could go a day without wine, anyway.

Diluc flipped the favor by inviting you to the Angel's Share. You’d been a customer for a long time, he treated you to the drinks the first time you hung out there after all the drunkards had gone. Talking the night away.

You didn’t tell Diluc that you were an archon until you had confessed to each other. He was shocked, to be honest, and was conflicted about it.

He came to his senses eventually, knowing that you were no different than you had been the day before. He just knew you were an archon now.

Your hangouts were more frequent, and he even takes ,,business trips” as an excuse to come to visit you in your nation. He never leaves for too long though. Similar to Xiao, he’s duty-bound to protect Mondstadt from the Abyss Order.

You help him with managing the winery and look over sales, and he finds comfort in having a second pair of eyes look over things. You’re blunt and will be honest when a sale or something looks unfair and dumb. He finds that quirk of yours fun.

You know he’s mortal and that your time with him is going to go by in a blink of an eye. You’ve seen countless centuries go by, so you took careful care to make sure every moment you had with him will be perfectly preserved in your memories.

Zhongli ;; with a mute s/o / friend

Zhongli is a very knowledgeable man, but sign language was not something he was adept with. Reading the language he was decent at, but signing... not so much.

You and Zhongli bonded over teaching him how to be fluent in sign. He found you, who had been signing most of your life, a suitable teacher.

People who can sign in Teyvat are rare, he wouldn’t miss this opportunity to learn himself.

“Pardon me. Are you fluent in sign language?... would you be willing to take on a student?”

The ex-archon assumed you were mute not by choice, but did not ask any questions or hold any prejudice to understand why to respect your privacy.

After Zhongli was confident with his signing and fluent, (he’s a very quick learner, you soon discovered), you remained friends and hung out around the harbor very often. You invited him out for lunch through letters, and he came and asked if you’d join him for tea through sign.

The first time he showed up at your door and clumsily signed his invitation, you teased him in good fun, but accepted the invitation nonetheless.

“I am merely practicing your teachings. Similarly to a homework assignment, [name].” He jested.

His first time hearing your voice was within the privacy of your home, where you had planned on having a calm afternoon together over books and tea - the weather had ruined your outdoor plans.

Your selective mutism left your voice hoarse, and maybe a little rough from the lack of exercise on your vocal cords.

Zhongli could care less. He complimented your voice, offered to make a tea to soothe your throat, and made sure you didn’t feel pressured to talk to him. Although, he was not complaining about being trusted with your voice.

“Shhh, dearest. The strain will hurt you. Come, I can brew a tea to help.”

Zhongli was worried, more than anything. He did not want you to hurt yourself, but he also didn’t want to come off like he didn’t want to hear your voice either.

Both of you took the adjustment to use voices with each other slow. You hadn’t trusted someone in a long time, and Zhongli was always made sure you didn’t strain yourself too much.

If you’re comfortable, he would trace his fingers over your throat. In a gentle, loving way, nothing more. Just him imagining your voice and making sure you’re not hurt. He worries, in all his years alive he’s never quite cared for someone like he cares for you.

Overall, Zhongli is very understanding and slow with you. If you trust him, but just don’t feel like talking today, he’s understanding. Due to him always keeping an eye out for your signs, he also easily picks up on body language. In public, if you’re uncomfortable, he never hesitates to escort you out of the area until you feel secure again.

Ningguang 🔸

Ningguang is a tender lover, often spoiling you with gifts and physical acts of affection rather than words. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t say ‘I love you’ or give you cute nicknames, it just means she’d rather show you she loves you rather than tell you.

While she does give you extravagant gifts like expensive jewelry or a particularly intricate teacup set, she doesn’t expect much in return from you. Ningguang is a woman of business, and never accepts an unfair trade, but she doesn’t do that with you.

She’ll often take you to meetings if you’re comfortable. Ningguang knows you’re smart and would like for you to pitch in if you have an idea. She trusts you entirely and wholly.

You two had lived together in the Jade Palace before its destruction in the fight against Osial. You already had a saving set aside outside of the Jade Palace for emergencies, so that extra money is going towards rebuilding it. You can’t help but feel bad for Ningguang sometimes, she had spent her entire life saving and building the intricate floating palace.

Beidou ⚡️

Beidou is super protective over you, a little more than she is with her Crew. You stay aboard the Crux fleet with her and her men as a co-captain of sorts.

Beidou is physically affectionate while on the ship, even more so off of it. While intimate things happen in private, away from the rest of the world - (her ‘i love you’s’ and other words of meaning, she only wants you to hear them.) - she still wants to show you off to the world. On the ship, everyone knows you’re hers, but on land, she gets to show everyone who doesn’t know that her heart belongs to you and yours belongs to her.

Whenever the Crux docks near the harbor to restock on supplies and food, you go with her most of the time. Beidou takes you to many places while you’re off the ship - to a fancy dinner, out drinking,, if it's fun she’ll take you to do it.

She made special time to be able to take you and her crew to the lantern rite and watch it from the ship. You along with all the Crux Fleet are her family, and she cares about all of them deeply. She wouldn’t keep anyone out on the ocean during the festivities that should be spent with blood family.
