Dunno if it's just me, but the intro to the Ash-Greninja theme has always sounded similar to Vela-Nova for me:
A commission I did for a friend! Featuring her AU Blaze which you can find at @vela-nova and my OC Flask from @mobian-of-science !

I was wondering what your thoughts were on Sonic Rush's Vela-Nova? I personally think of it as Blaze's theme song, even though it sounds like a more pop-ish version of a Rouge song.

Hey guys! This is a groovy little number, to be expected from the Rush soundtrack. The bass line really drives this whole groove forward, the percussion merely adding flavor, especially with the auxiliary stuff going on in the background. The highlights in this for me are the sax fills; they feel really tangible in my mind, very real, especially compared with all the synth stuff going on in the rest of the mix. The vocal samples are really neat, another good example of using the voice as an instrument, whether for padding or kicks. It does remind me a little of some of Rouge's stuff, especially with the general groove, the flute work in the background, and the female vocal lines. It is definitely more upbeat and driving, however it has the samba feel to it. The synth main melody line is a cool sound, and the entire track has its own little unique parts to it. I seem to notice something new each time I loop it around, like how there's a piano track mimicking the vocal line the first time the vocal kicks take the melody. This really neat!
