On the flip side, Anya, who's kind of grown up having to make herself powerful so that she doesn't get hurt, is nervous Ryan, who's new to Veilnorth, might try and mess things up. People have tried that with her before, and you can never be too careful. So she keeps him at her side, because of he's hers, if she can make him utterly devoted to her, then he can't mess things up. Her feelings for him get more genuine over the course of the story of course, but I think giving her issues with trust would add to her character.

I don't have the exact details as of just yet, since I mainly wanted to get Anya and Ryan down as characters and I just came up with the idea today, but it's essentially how Ryan ends up in Anya's circle and how things transpire from there. Hopefully I can work out further details later, but I wanted to write something where the girl is the powerful and popular one instead of the guy.

Ryan Nelson (left) recently transfered from America. He's also an English student, though he acts more like if a stereotypical jock wasn't a bully. He's a nice enough guy, if a little annoying to some people. Let's just say the last thing he expected was to get Anya's attention.
