so like they fight ketheric, vehiri finds out tarza has a tadpole, wonders if the amnesia is tied to the tadpole and decides that first she needs to find out if tarza remembers. the gang gets to meet the emperor properly, they get to rivington, and tarza up and vanishes
she's gonna meet him again later in the temple of bhaal because tarza's first moment of memories is orin (it's complicated) and he goes on a one-man mission to kill every bit of orin's followers and orin herself because she did this to him, and none of his loyal flock thought the lesser bhaalspawn was incorrect in some way
anyways vehiri doesn't know what to do and tarza is just :3c while he's covered in the gore that was orin and he doesn't even know anything about the netherstone or the astral prism, but vehiri has decided that tarza is too dangerous to be left alone or alive and she has no idea what to do.
she does end up killing him. it becomes a self defense. vehiri mourns the brother she never got to have.
(tarza, several tendays later, awakens with his father's voice in his mind and his blood howling for revenge for killing bhaal's favorite child)
fully imaging that if vehiri got pregnant wyll would be so excited. he wants to be a dad... vehiri isn't prepared for motherhood, but she's mrs ravengard so she can do anything. they'd make such a happy family...

for the au abcs: band au and royalty au for tarza and vehiri
okay okay so band au first:
tarza and vehiri are both in some kind of folk music band. (think the decemberists kind of vibe) vehiri is on piano but it's a keyboard and she gets to pick the sounds she wants from it, which is a really great substitute for when they don't have an accordion. she's also a singer, but not the lead singer, so she's getting all sorts of cool harmonies and other backing vocals.
tarza's on drums. unlike vehiri, he can't sing for the life of him. he wants to be in a heavy metal band so bad... he really thumps that bass drum on the drum set so bad. he's very good at their semi-mellow song, but every time the band gets working on a new album, he's always all "maybe i can smash more cymbals please and thanks."
I like to think tarza and vehiri end up making their own duo because of proper musician interpersonal conflicts and as it always goes in music. they're gonna find their own noise.
AND A ROYALTY AU???
Vehiri and Tarza are princess and prince, but they're due to inherit the throne. tarza wants to run away from this responsibility because he's in love with a staff member and wants to be free for himself. he does end up running away and leaving vehiri to take the throne. granted they couldn't rule together, but this causes so much resentment. there's never been a single ruler to the throne, and vehiri is known for never showing interest in people romantically. she hates tarza for being off doing whatever it is he does, but she does her best to be a good ruler.
tarza meanwhile spends his life rough and tumble, but has a simba moment where you can't run from your fate and he ends up marrying his lover just in time to go back home and pray that vehiri forgives him.

thought about tarza and vehiri once more and I thought it would be super funny if vehiri would be super protective over tarza even if she doesnt like him anymore because that's HER brother and nobody messes with him without going thru HER.
(tarza doesnt have the heart to tell vehiri that he is stronger than she is and he can punch bullies without her help.)
(also it would be super funny if she tried to kick astsrion's ass for "bullying" tarza and astarion just goes "tarza, are we sure you're the rabid one?")
I love vehiri so much. that's my little harper. I like to think in the bg3 universe she and wyll get their happily ever after after the brain. unfortunately on her original run, she told wyll to save his dad and then went to avernus with karlach and wyll said he'd wait for her. this time? this time wyll and vehiri and karlach are going to hell together. vehiri can have a happy baby girl after it's all over
