Vavoom! (24” x 24”). This is the 2nd piece in a new series by the same name: new paintings that I am painting in my studio. There is a lot of material (read: so much THICK, juicy paint) applied to it. I’m interested in the linear texture that the brush strokes create on the surface of the paint, especially as it dries. It’s fun to run my fingers over the ridges. Yes, I have always been way to tactile, I know. I’m also loving how the edges of the various colours smear together. Sometimes you just need to get all gooey with paint. I was inspired by a similar video by the talented @dhton, smearing colors across a canvas, much like I did here.
