How Not to Paint Miniatures Lesson of the Day: Bad things happen when you get down to the last bit of spray varnish in the can. Throw it away. Don’t be cheap. I had to spend some time touching up this little guy.

Midnight progress
Didn’t post last night because sleep, but I was able to get the Apoc Launcher ready to dip, finish the Retributor squad and start basing the Sororitas squad, and get the Reaver legs and Knight base onto the varnish box.  (Yes, I have a box that I tape things to for varnish and a box - one of the original Mail-order Troll boxes - that I use for priming).  I’m debating whether to do the actual varnishing today - it’s cold, for one, and that can of Purity Seal frosted really badly on the Onager.  I don’t want to ruin the Titan legs.  I may give it an extended 5 minute shake and try a test blast on something unimportant like painted sprue to see if it’s the can or what.
