Let’s talk about chickenpox and shingles. Dr.Google says

Shingles is caused by varicella zoster virus (VZV), the same virus that causes chickenpox. After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus stays dormant (inactive) in their body. The virus can reactivate later, causing shingles. Most people who develop shingles have only one episode during their lifetime.

Current life experience shows:

Do not take this lightly, if you’ve ever had chickenpox already know that the virus is still inside you, and know that it HAS cure.

One moment in your life, if you’ve already had chickenpox, you WILL develope Shingles. When it happens? Low Imune System. The virus stay dormant, most cases happen with children or elders (60yo)

The vaccine against shingles especifically is applied on adults on their 50 years. But that does not mean it can’t happen to you before those 60yo.

So, this is NORMAL! But do not take it lightly.

The first symptoms may be numbness on some areas of your body, usually, the virus will affect only one side of your body as it choses the path it will take through your nerves - left or right.

The skin area will be numb, that is the very first symptom. So if you’ve had Chickenpox and feel numbness in an area of your skin, lack of sensibility, I suggest you’d go to a doctor.

The other symptoms, also start of the problem, are the skin with visible red bubbles, itchy, and hurts. Like eletric shocks. Remember the virus is walking through your nerves, so it cause infection of the nerve system, therefore, pain.

In most extreme cases, the pain will remain even after the red bubbles itself go away, in such case, you’ll need a NEUROLOGIST, to more precisely address to the pain you’re feeling and start the treatment. In that case, the nerve system may be damaged, in such extreme cases, you’ll be on medication for a minimum of 6 months or 1 year until the nerve can restore itself in case the damage was that huge.

Either way, know that IT HAS CURE. 

So worry not if you’ve had chickenpox before, the condition itself hurts, it is annoying, but it has cure. Even the extremity of it.

And yes, being vaccinated against chickenpox does helps a LOT, so even if you have the virus, the version of your shingles will not be as bad and way more bearable. 

And, of course, do not let people touch the red bubbles without protection (gloves and such), that is how the person can get the virus, too. So do not have direct contact/touch to it.
