✮ For Squalo | @variaselite
Thinking it over, if he played it smart and actually refrained from spending more than what was absolutely necessary then he'd definitely be able to save up just enough to buy a new bat, somewhat soon. He couldn't let himself get out of shape just because he couldn't play with the baseball team as he'd originally planned. And seeing as money would be tight for a while as he settled into his new life, hitting the batting cages had been the first thing to go. He could probably get the storm guardian to help out by pitching a few balls for him (if he pestered him long enough) but in order to do that, he needed at least one set of a bat, ball and glove. But until he'd be able to buy said items, he have to settle for keeping to his early morning routine of running a few blocks before going into work. It was a routine he was already pretty well acquainted with so it hadn’t taken much effort on his part in resuming said task. Which is how he’d ended up as one of the few people to get up first thing in the morning and set out on his run after getting dressed. What he hadn’t planned on, however, was running into another familiar face so soon after reuniting with his fellow guardian and friend.
"S-Squalo?!" He said as he caught sight of the familiar long haired male, "hey! It's been a while, I didn't expect to see you here," he continued as he approached the older male, his morning run forgotten for the moment.
