The last time Paul had seen these people, they weren’t people. They had barely been anything. They had been a cluster of spores on a planet that aimed to see him dead. Now, though...the ship that calls to them has advanced so far as to be almost unrecognizable, and now the image that spoke to them over the screen still resembled what he had seen, but it had been so remarkably different.

He waited now in the transporter room, having been not only given permission, but requested by Michael that he be there to greet their Qualia visitors. He didn’t know if he would be remembered--in fact he was rather certain that he wouldn’t be--but still there was a gentle squeeze of anticipation in his stomach. He was nervous.

Then the transporter activated, and a moment later the shimmer faded, leaving a humanoid behind.

   He stands shoulders back, head tilted ever to slightly to the side as he listens. James is clearly watching the alien closely and while he is managing to keep himself to one spot and not too shifty the closed off stiff nature of his posture conveys that he’s on the defensive. Not that he was that aware of that. The fingers of a hand pressed lightly to his chest as he went to speak, subconsciously mimicking the Draz’uhx’s action, and he rocked forward ever to slightly onto his toes as a not so subtle attempt to match height.

   “Oh to be clear it’s not unbelievable, the phrase was more of an expression of surprise I assure you! It’s simply that, if you’re not entirely aware, human contact with alien species... well at this point it has not really been that much of a thing. I figured it was safe to put the question out there under the thought that this might have been some sort of dream. In which case such a statement usually would cause one to wake up, and so forth.” 

The hand is moved away from his chest and extended in an offer to shake. While he has no clue if this is anything close the correct protocol it comes more as instinct than anything else.

   “A pleasure to meet you Draz’uhx of Ver’mixxian. I am James Soranus Antyllus of Earth.” 

God he hoped he’d pronounced that correctly.

@guttersniper​: this is paul’s son...he loves him so much! and i love him so much, and i love LANEY so much. she’s creative and talented and funny and makes me happy to talk to. and mutt is very important to paul and he’s well written and thought out and multifaceted and we love him. he’s gonna stick by that kid no matter what...

@telepathicstars: i love all of serena’s ocs but i’ll stick with ania bc she’s the one most important to paul. and serena’s so important to me, she makes me so happy n makes me feel loved and i think everyone should try to make serena feel the same. and ania is! special to paul. she knows him in a way that’s so unique and despite his objections i think he needs that. 

@serenitystored: listen i don’t know anything about a lot of adam’s fandoms or ocs but i know i love him and so i know i love them. the ones i’ve written with i’ve always loved. even if i dont know abt them i’ll still write with them because i love adam and i love him. he’s so creative with them and has so much LORE. 

･ .  ✶ ━━      it was a little overwhelming sometimes. appearing , disappearing and then reappearing in a completely different place. elenore sometimes wished that she could just be a normal 26 year old. just someone who could complain about their work , about boyfriends , girlfriends , go out with friends. but here she was in a seedy night club that was incredibly way too loud. she's pressed against the far wall - trying her best to avoid the bodies that wandered past her. ellie couldn't make heads or tails of where ( or when ) she was , she'd probably be stuck here for a while , so she'd just wait out her leap in the bathroom or something. hands pressed over her ears as her body curled in against itself - until she felt something grab onto her hand. jerking away slightly , ellie lifts her head. someone had appeared next to her. their body - had a slightly different colour to it , something that definitely wasn't human. it almost sparkled in the low uvesq light. now that slightly answered her when question. letting her hand drop , ellie felt the other slide their own hand ( which was far too smooth ) to hold onto hers , intertwining their fingers. staring into the androids eyes for a couple of seconds , her whole body seemed to drop and relax suddenly ... " mind ... ? " she whispered - her body then proceeded to practically fall into theirs , head resting against its chest. " how'd you find me ? "

´ ･ .  ✶ ━━      blue eyes stare down at the P.A.D.D. culinary school had taught ellie to just give anything and everything a try , even if you think you're going to hate it , or it probably won't settle in your stomach properly. just try it. because you never know if it's going to turn into your next best meal , or in ellie's current state last meal. the description AND the photo weren't doing the dish any favours , however , ellie did trust the massive alien with her life so... nose scrunches , before she turns her gaze to look up at huz. " you promise me ? " she questioned , handing the device back over to hudson , arms coming to cross over her chest. " alright. " she finally confirmed. " but we're cooking it in your quarters. "

´ ･ .  ✶ ━━      feet come to an immediate stop.  body almost smacks into his back.  lollipop is pulled from her lips with an audible POP and she clears her throat.  stares up at hutz for a couple of seconds.  the tall nausicaan was intimidating when you didn’t know what a giant softy he truly was. 

                           head shakes back and forth as her body curls in on itself so that she wouldn’t have anyone bump into her  ,  this section of the promenade was crowded  ,  ellie didn’t think that he would notice.  “  uh  ,  no  ?  ”  it was framed as a question almost.
