At first I felt anger when I first learned of this. But now I feel immense pity for the lost soul (or souls) who did this. Forgive them Father for they not know what they have done. This is the church I grew up in. I looked up to this statue almost every day of my life growing up. The sparkles from the stained glass windows still shine brightly in my memories. There are no other windows quite like these. For someone to destroy these took intention, anger and disturbed reasoning.
