From the article:
"...What To Know
NCIS brought back Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in a way in the penultimate episode. Executive producer Steven D. Binder explains why it was done in this way.
NCIS shocked fans at the end of the penultimate episode by not only having Parker (Gary Cole) take care of Rogers (J. Paul Boehmer), the former Army CID director part of the weapons smuggling ring that Vance (Rocky Carroll) died helping to take down, rather than let him go into witness protection, but also having him enlist a very familiar sniper to do so.
As Parker revealed in the final moments, he was cooking salmon, fresh from Alaska, for his sister, Harriet (Nancy Travis). Only a sniper as skilled as Gibbs (Mark Harmon), who just so happens to be living in Alaska now, could have taken the shot. It’s a moment that executive producer Steven D. Binder tells TV Insider he’s very glad happened.
“Maybe if you gave me one hand to choose the things I’m most proud of on this series, that’s going to be on the hand for sure.” he says..."
The 23rd season finale episode airs on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 8/7C on CBS; and streams on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 on Paramount+.

Will Vance's 'Days Go By' Is The Progressive Therapy You Need
Will Vance's 'Days Go By' Is The Progressive Therapy You Need
If you’re a fan of Dusky, Hot Since 82, Yotto, or Andrew Bayer, then you’ll absolutely love Will Vance. His impressive new release “Days Go By” came out on Think Tnk Records recently and it gives Anjunabeats a run for their money, incorporating fat silky pads and grooving bass lines paired with angelic vocals that will give any listener the chills. His own personal tastes began to develop from a household full of folk-music listeners. The warm and reassuring melodies of his childhood music made for an easy cross over into the deeper side of dance music once Will discovered the likes of Yotto, Amtrac, Dusky, and others. Think Tnk Records is based in Denver, Colorado and releases a variety of genres. The EP is an impressive first step in the right direction in 2017 for this producer.
The single ‘Days Go By’ begins with chilling padwork that graces into a deep yet progressive melody paired with a few ambient vocal samples that makes the track come alive with style and grace. ‘Dry Spell’ takes a cue from the Anjunadeep family with rolling bass lines, intricate chords, seductive pads and vocal chants which create an ambiance not very well reproduced. ‘Slow Drive’ is a soulful house production that blends the lines with upbeat and happy high end hi-hats and melodic tones while the baselines and the shuffling drum kit give way to deeper vibrations. With this breakout EP we can be sure to expect incredible production and creativity from Will. To listen to the soulful energetic EP be sure to give it a listen!
