"Stop," Harper looked over at Vance, "Stop. Stop it." There was a growing annoyance in his voice as he spoke to his old classmate from Altimira Academy. "Stop doing whatever you're doing," Harper instructed Vance before he took in a deep breath, then let it out as he counted backwards from ten. As he reached one, Harper turned to face Vance. "First, stop," Harper said as he held his hand out in front of him, "Second, I told you to fucking leave, Thunder-brain. I told you that I was working and no--," Harper's words got cut off as he turned his head to the right. His expression fell flat as he stared at the incoming attackers.
