Van could feel the bass of the music through the soles of his shoes, the lights were dim, paired with the booze that warmed his system, it was shaping up to a prett good night. Sure, the two people he considered to be some of his primary friends were in some other kingdom, and the ones still home weren’t the partying type, but that didn’t mean he have fun on his own. Though, it didn’t have to be himself wallowing in his apartment. He felt bodies pressed behind him and in front of him, moving ecstatically with the music. Most of the faces were a blur, not uncommon considering how many times one would mingle with a different partner. Deciding he needed a moment to cool down he slipped through the sea of bodies on the dancing floor making his way to the bar.
He didn’t have to be alone tonight.
The thought popped into his head as a figure standing at the bar caught his interest, this was a face he was sure he’d remember later. He casually took a seat next to the stranger, a smile quirked on his lips.
“You probably get this a lot, but can I buy you a drink?” He asked with a slight tilt of his head causing the long ears atop his head to to sway to the same side.
