Something something Daniel is a handy man who signed up to help restore a medieval castle as a part of a course to get a specialized certification so that he can get to work on other projects deemed as historical preservation.
It has been a week since he started and the work has been great. There werenât that many other masons but the project manager/owner, Max, was very excited for the help. There were two other managers but Daniel had been assigned to Max.
They spent a lot of time together, Max was quick to answer any questions Daniel had about the castle and the lands, Daniel could tell he really loved it out here. Max tells him about how the castle has been in his family for millennia and he didnât want to see it go to ruin.
Daniel liked Max, he was chill, competitiveâ they had a running score with Sebâs teamâ and deceptively strong. Daniel figured it came from living out in the country side. His eyes were really really bright but it also matched how pale his skin was. Max liked to joke that he couldnât tan to save his life, that he burned easy. Daniel joked back that it was a good thing they were working indoors.
âCan I ask you something?â Daniel asked one day, he was up on a ladder working on the wiring for a light fixture in the roof. Max was holding the ladder, looking up at him.
âSure.â
âWhatâs with the blood type question on the application? My sister thought it was weird.â
Daniel had looked back up at the ceiling and didnât see Maxâs reactionâ the freezing and widening of his eyes.
âItâs mostly just in case you get hurt and need medical attention. We already have all the informationâremember it also asked if you were allergic to any medication.â Max said quickly. Daniel nodded.
âTrue true. I guess that makes sense, different country and all. Plus if Iâm out of my mind in pain Iâm not gonna remember shit like my blood type or tree nut allergy.â
âYeah exactly.â
âMichelle was joking around like âthis is such a very vampire questionâ you sure they arenât vampires?â I had to laugh.â Daniel said with a chuckle. Max laughed below him, looking away.

Could you do a dark (mafia) vampire!driver? With female reader?
With either lando or max please??
Blood thirsty || M.V
Dark mafia vampire max Verstappen x mate reader
Warningsâ dark max, vampire max, supernatural, mafia boss max, short
Summary: who knew taking a different way to your apartment will lead you to your soulmate whoâs a vampire but thatâs not it, he turns out to be the vampire king who runs the fearest mafia in the world.
Part 2
You flinched as a cat rustling through the trash cans down the dark alley you are currently walking down, you knew this was very unsafe to be walking down a sketchy alley late at night but your friend told you this would be a quicker way to get to your apartment.
You held your bag close to your chest to give you clarity as you quickly walked, you jumped hearing a scream just in front of you.
damn you for having a curiosity that can get you in serious trouble, you continue forward where the scream came from. You hid behind a crate and the sight made you gasp frightening, here was a man biting a guys neck aggressively while another watched with satisfaction.
You stumble back hitting a box making it clash to the ground as the sound rings in the alley making the guy who was watching head snap to you with glowing red eyes.
Oh shit, you were about to die.
You ran as fast as you can and could feel the hope and relief in your chest when you saw the opening of the alley with your apartment in view. Yet all that hope crashes down when your roughly shoved to the ground, â well well, you werenât supposed to see thisâ a raspy voice said as you scramble back, trying to put space between you and the glowing red eye man.
You confusedly saw the man eyes soften when they connect with your frighten ones, he looked at you like he found the most precious thing. â oh schat Iâm sorry, god I have been waiting for you for decadesâ.
He tried to come toward you yet your whimper stops him in his track as he sighed aggravated, â what a great start, my mate is frighten of meâ he said mostly to himself as you were wondering what mate mean.
â sorry darling but I really donât fancy staying in this alley, cmereâ he demanded as you looked at him like he was insane. You literally saw his friend drinking someone blood which was so fucking creepy while he watched with a sick grin, and he excepts for you to willing go to him. Heâs fucking mental.
He sighed rolling his eyes as he quickly grabs you gently, hulling you into his arms with inhuman speed.
You were trembling like a leaf in his arms as he petted your head with a grin, he walks back to the guy who had blood dripping down his mouth as a man laid dead at his feet.
â Lando letâs go!â The guy holding you ordered making the shorter man turn towards you, â whoâs this? Your meal?â He words made you flinch and hide into the guys chest, vibrating as he growled menacingly.
â you wonât touch her, sheâs my mateâ he glared at Lando and then looked down at you sweetly, loving how you were hiding in his muscular chest.
â oh congrats boss!â Lando beamed giving you sight of his straight white fangs, oh god. They were vampiresâŠ..
â yes now letâs go, take care of that scum will you? Donât even bury him properly. Thatâs what he gets for stealing from meâ max demanded walking away with you not caring that you were trembling in his arms.
He inhaled the scent of your hair and hum happily, â canât believe I have found you, your never getting away from me now my little humanâ.
max being super cute and charles doesnât understand why other people trying to warn him about vampires until some random vampire tries to do something to him/maxâs clan and he finally sees what other weâre talking about
but later max turns to him in someoneâs blood, with destroyed clothes and bruises all over body and looks at charles with big bambi eyesđ„ș
maxâs clan mates calls charles a âvampire queenâ for turning max âthe maddest and the greatestâ into cutie little vampire
I love the idea that Max has two different sides to him.
Around Charles he is the cutest sweetest most loving little vampire. Even if he hisses and snarls and tries to be scary it still comes across as adorable.
But as soon as someone threatens somebody he loves he actually does turn into an intimidating vampire who will do anything to protect those closest to him.
And then once its over and Charles has him in his arms again, Max turns back into a sweetheart.
I think a lot of it would be Max feeling loved and secure versus him going into protective mode.
Two sides of Max I love in fiction - babygirl AND babygirl protector, all rolled into one!
Pushing The Envelope - Valentineâs Day 2022 request #1
Pairing: Max Phillips x Female ReaderÂ
Word Count: 2301
Rating: M - language, mention of blood and weapons, one tiny mention of a murder, vampires ... you know the drill.Â
This first request is for @alraedesignsâ, who wanted something humorous with Max P and an envelope.Â
This is my first time ever writing for Max, and I definitely donât think it will be the last. Heâs FUN. Thank you so much for the request, Alex. I hope you like it!Â
Sitting in the parking lot, you stared up at your office building. It was nondescript - ten stories of beige, windows that offered a view but let very little light in, an elevator that only worked half the time, and mostly insufferable coworkers - but it also allowed you to be near Max.Â
The thought of him made you grin, even though you knew it was foolish. You knew who he was and what he was, and heâd never tried to cross any lines with you aside from seriously flirting⊠but you would have let him. Any day of the week. And you never stopped him, using his tactics right back on the man, your direct nature surprising him often.
Phone alarm buzzing, you swiped a finger over the screen to silence it and sighed deeply before climbing out of the car and beginning the short trek across the parking lot. Max and his team had shown up a few months earlier, quickly beginning their takeover.Â
To be honest, the changes had made your workplace more tolerable. The team was more efficient, people didnât snap at each other as often, and because youâd been given a choice about whether or not heâd turned you, you were one of the few people that could leave the building during the day ⊠which meant that you didnât have to worry about your coworkers trying to tag along on every lunch break or including you in their weekly happy hours, which occurred in the middle of the night.Â
But it also meant that you were the one sent on errands for the ones that couldnât leave. Your job had shifted from data entry and filing to running errands, mostly ⊠and you didnât mind. Max had approved an almost 60% pay raise for you to compensate you for your time and efforts, grinning at you from across the large wooden desk, and for a moment, youâd understood how heâd charmed everyone so easily.Â
No, that wasnât true. You understood it all the time, you just hadnât wanted to let him win that round with so little fight. There was no guarantee that Max would stay in your office, and as much as you relished the thought of never having to worry about grocery shopping or waking up with the sunrise to go to work again, you hadnât been willing to give up everything for a desk job that you hoped was temporary. Especially not this desk job.Â
When the doors opened to your floor, you made your way past the cubicles of your coworkers, most of them typing away furiously or talking in hushed voices on the phone. On the walk, you laid down sheets of paper on their desks; receipts, billing statements, pick up and drop off confirmations - it was all there for them whenever they needed it as proof that youâd done what you were asked to, and as a record of what they owed you.
The last stack was for your boss, and after pausing long enough at your desk to drop off your bag and straighten the neckline of your shirt, you headed for his office, knocking twice and not waiting for him to answer before entering. âIâm back, Max.âÂ
His chair was turned so that he was facing away from you, the man tossing a small, green ball against the back wall of the office. âTook you long enough.âÂ
âWhenâs the last time you had to deal with daytime crowds anywhere, hmm?â Sliding a stack of papers across the desk toward him, you took a long breath. âPeople go outside on their lunch breaks. They go into places. They get things done before it gets dark so that they can go home and be with their families.âÂ
It was a fine line you walked with him - you knew the man wouldnât lash out at you, knew that he wouldnât try to charm you with his enhanced senses, and knew that he wouldnât fire you because the team needed you - so you took advantage of the situation, speaking to him candidly. He likes it. Heâs good at hiding things, but he canât hide this. âIf youâd let me change you over, you wouldnât have to worry about the âdaytime crowdsâ anymore.â He spun the chair around as he spoke, the ball held tightly in one hand and his eyebrow raised. âAnd then I could show you what the dark is really good for.âÂ
âYou gonna show me how to lurk in alleys, Max?â You rolled your eyes. âGonna teach me how to charm someone so that they let me -â He frowned at you then, a mock expression of hurt on his face.
âI donât lurk.â The frown changed into a smile, both brows raising. âAnd I canât teach you to be charming, so maybe itâs a good thing you didnât let me turn you, otherwise you might have starved.âÂ
âAsshole.â But you were grinning, too, using your chin to gesture to the papers. âAll the receipts for this week. Everyoneâs got theirs, too. Make sure they all pay me, alright?â He watched you silently for a few seconds, mouth hanging open slightly. âWhat?âÂ
âNothing.â He shrugged, sitting up straight. âI actually need you to stay and help me with something, though.â That surprised you - Max had an assistant; a perky young woman that had been more than happy to let him turn her only a week or so after his arrival, practically throwing herself at him when the opportunity arose. But I havenât seen her in a couple days.Â
âWhereâs Trisha?â You glanced over your shoulder and then back at Max. âIâm sure she -â
âTrisha didnât work out.â He pressed his lips together. âToo eager. Friendly, but shit at her job.â Didnât work out? What does that ⊠Deciding that you didnât want to think about it too much, you blew out a long breath, waving your hand in the air. She made her choice.Â
âWhat do you need?â It wasnât like you had much to do for the rest of the day; you were caught up on your actual work, and had planned on a few hours of online Scrabble before clocking out. The perks of a highly efficient workforce. âAnd can I do it at my desk, I was planning -â
âNo, you cannot do it at your desk, I need you in here.â He pushed away from you, reaching down and into a drawer. âSit.â You did as he asked, moving before you could stop yourself, but instead of staying silent, you yelped the manâs name out.Â
âAbsolutely not, Max!â Grumbling, you pushed down on the desk, trying to stand - and you couldnât. âNo. You do not get to use that voice on me. You donât get to -â He couldnât hold back a laugh as you shot to your feet, the chair moving backwards.Â
âJust reminding you that I can.â He was still grinning, pushing a small stack of envelopes and a typed piece of paper across the desk at you. âSeriously, though. Sit. Itâs not anything hard, I just âŠâ He leaned in, nose wrinkling. âEveryone else here sucks, and you donât.â It was a legitimate compliment - the look in the manâs eyes warm. âI need you to address these for me. A whole lot of things improved when I was in Romania, but my handwriting wasnât one of them.â You snorted at that, reaching for the stack and pulling it toward you.Â
âMaybe after a couple hundred years it wonât look like a third grader wrote -â He growled at that and you laughed, glancing down at the sheet. âJesus, thereâs like thirty names on here, what are they -â
âDonât worry about what they are, just write.â Mumbling the words âyes, sirâ under your breath because you knew that heâd inwardly react to it, you began to do as he asked, methodically addressing each envelope and piling them neatly to the right of you. While you did that, he focused on his computer, typing for a few minutes and then printing off a stack of sheets, bringing them from the printer to his desk and then working through them, signing each with a flourish of his pen.Â
He finished before you, and you glanced up after a few minutes of complete silence on his side of the desk, finding that he was sitting still, elbows bent and both hands behind his head as he stared at you. âCreep.â
âNope.â He leaned closer, moving his hands to the desk. âIâm just watching how efficient you are.â Like always, the intensity of his stare unnerved you, and without glancing away from him, you reached for another envelope, the tip of your finger sliding along the edge. Shit.Â
You watched the look in his eyes change and even before you felt the sting of the papercut, Max was focused on your finger, the look on his face hungry. âYou cut yourself.â Â
âItâs not bad. It isnât evenâŠâ But you stopped when you saw the beads of blood on your skin. âOops.â Instinctually, you let go of the paper and lifted your hand toward your mouth, ready to place the tip of your thumb between your lips like youâd done countless times before. Halfway up, though, you felt Maxâs fingers wrap around your wrist, haling the movement. â... Max?âÂ
It was the first time heâd ever touched you, and you barely concealed your shiver at the way it felt. No, do not fall apart right now. Â âLet me?â It was a dangerous thing to do, and you knew it, though it didnât stop you from nodding, eyes trained on your thumb as he pulled your hand toward him - the agreement having nothing to do with im commanding you.
âDo not bite me.â You mumbled the words, Maxâs gaze flicking up to you and then back down to your hand, the entire tip of your finger smeared with blood. Thatâs a bad one. You knew you needed to look at the envelopes to see if youâd bled on anything, but couldnât tear your eyes away from what was happening. Because it might never happen again.
At the last possible second, Max raised his eyes and locked them with yours, the change in focus drawing your attention and forcing you to miss the moment your thumb made contact with - and then passed between - his lips. Oh shit. He sucked gently, the flat of his tongue running over the pad of your finger. He released you before you could even begin to process what happened, the man leaning back in the chair and swallowing. âYou do that a couple hundred more times and I wonât need to find someone to -â
âThatâs inappropriate, Max.â You couldnât hide the racing beat of your heart - and knew that he could hear it, too. âWho do you think you are?âÂ
âYour boss⊠who also happens to be a vampire, and gets very hungry after a long day of -â Rubbing at your face with one hand, you groaned. âWhat? Iâm just being honest.âÂ
âI know.â What a time for it to happen, though. Â You hadnât bled on the envelopes, and after a few seconds, returned to the task, trying to ignore the man across the desk from you. It didnât work, and your mind kept going back to the way heâd licked your skin clean, the drag of his tongue slow, like he was savoring the taste of your blood. Maybe he was.
âI was going to have you fold these letters and stuff the envelopes, but you managed to hurt yourself on a single envelope, so that might be a little too dangerous for you today.â He was joking - the manâs tone light, and without missing a beat, you set what you were holding down, flattening your hands on the desk and looking at him again, head tilted to one side.Â
âYou know, if youâre that hungry, we can just use a letter opener and you can slice open my arm. Would save some time, and then you wouldnât have to hope that I repeatedly forgot how to correctly handle pieces of paper, and youâd never have to worry about me being such a smartass to you again.â It was maybe a little much - but the previous few minutes had made it clear that youâd reached your limit with pretending that you werenât attracted to the man when you were in front of him and he was being normal.Â
âI like the way you think.â He cleared his throat, standing and circling around to your side of the desk and then taking a seat on the edge of it, the manâs thigh smashing the stack of envelopes that youâd just finished, creasing every single one of them. Well, shit. âBut I donât need a letter opener.â Widening his eyes, he grinned, the pointed ends of his teeth visible. It wasnât the first time youâd seen them, and you figured it wouldnât be the last, either. I hope itâs not.Â
âGood.â Murmuring the word, you stood too, once again lifting your arm, holding it out to him. âMight be tempted to stab you with it if -â He cut you off though, the man bypassing your arm and reaching up, his fingers curling around the back of your head.Â
âYou could try.â He leaned in, lips hovering over your ear. âMight be fun.âÂ
Instead of retorting with something playful as had become normal for the two of you as you circled each other, you lifted both hands, grabbing for the bottom edges of his lapels and pulling him closer. âIâm sure a lot of things would be fun with you, Max.âÂ
Youâd barely gotten the words out before he pressed his lips against yours - his smile still evident⊠and just as genuine as yours.Â

Maxwell was doing his regular activities, watering some of his gorgeous plants he had on his front porch, happily. He was humming a little tune and that's when he noticed a car pulling into the next house. He had lived her for a while and was a bit suspicious, since no one had lived there for a while. But soon he smirked as he saw this adorable man step out of the car, the way the man stood and how he was dressed, Maxwell was blinded by his beauty. He slowly licked his fangs, interested in this new neighbor. He leaned against the railing on his porch, watching the man go inside of his new house.
