He finds himself less ravenous around you, calmer and less prone to greed, you offer him food freely, and he will eat it like a man starved. It's rocky for the first few years, but you learn that his tails tell you when he needs you close to him by prodding you against his will. He holds you close in bed at night posessively, and rarely goes out to hunt anymore. It barely phases him that Azazel has his heart, because that hole has filled in with your surpising wit and remarks, with your cooking and attention, and how you've allowed him to rebuild the foundations of his own personality, something he is forever grateful for, and just another thing he grows to love you for. You swear, the day he says 'I love you', you hear his heart beating in his chest, the maw down his middle long dormant and under control, and one of the first smiles you've seen on him since you met.
