âI found her, Luke!â Ashtonâs voice announced, triumph lacing his tone.
ây/n, where the hell have you been?!â You whimpered and shrunk under Lukeâs glare, fear ripping through you as Lukeâs eyes glowed in anger. âMichael has been dying, and you decided to fucking run off to the middle of nowhere and somehow mask your scent to avoid us all?! âLuke, calm the fuck downâ Calum instructed, pulling Luke back from you as he had gotten really close to you when shouting. Luke growled and turned around, storming his way out of the flat. The arms around your waist loosened and before you could warn them, you had fallen to your feet; you didnât have enough energy to stay standing.
âWoah, y/n, carefulâ Ashton picked you back up and sat you on the sofa, before looking into your eyes. âCal, go get her some water and something to eatâ Calum nodded and went off into the kitchen.
âWhy did he go into the kitchen? Youâre vampiresâ You asked.
âDoesnât mean we canât eat human food. We just donât get enough energy from it. A lot of us donât like to eat itâ Ashton informed you and you nodded, too exhausted to reply. Calum returned with some water and a plate with a sandwich, fruit, cheese and a bag of crisps. âI didnât know what you wanted so I just got random stuffâ Calum stated, handing you the plate and placing the cup on the table.
You thanked him and silence consumed you all as you ate, until Ashton said âhe got worse, you knowâ
âMichael got worse?â you asked with a frown.
âYeah. I donât know what you said to him before you left but he canât communicate with us through his telepathy at allâ you thought back to your words, wincing.
âSo what?! You only care because I might be able to help you stop dying or whatever the fuck is going on! Well, I canât do anything to help you so stop trying -Â let me get the fuck away from here!â
âI didnât say anything niceâ you stated, looking down in shame. âI was angry and scared and I didnât know what to doâ you looked up slightly to see Ashtonâs face flooded with guilt.

Once youâd finished eating, Calum coughed and started to talk.

âLuna witches are basically werewolf witches. They have direct connection to the Goddess Luna, apparentlyâ Ashton explained.
âAnd how do we find one?â You asked, this time meeting Calumâs eyes.
âWe need to travel to the sabertooth pack, they live north of the riverâ Calum stated.
âWell what are we waiting for, letâs goâ you said, standing and starting to walk but being pushed back to the sofa. âYouâre definitely not goingâ Ashton stated.

âFine, you can go, but wait for a couple of days. You need to build your strength upâ Ashton stated, before turning and leaving to check on Michael.
