bit nervous answering this from val velocity himself. but yes. he is clown. he cracks a lot of jokes that fall flat on their face and the Vs ignore it cause the last time they mentioned val not being funny he got rly sad and quiet and pissy for days. we see a little of this in the comics (“happy birthday” the laughing panel etc...). also i feel like he rly likes birds, likes to hear em tweeting... i hope he got a budgie when the city went down. a budgie and some stability.

USE. REFERENCE. PHOTOS. You're no less an artist if you do and it will make your art look better
Thick lineart is tempting but it's better to use thin because it will help you develop a steady hand
Beat the shit out of same face syndrome, I suggest experimenting with head and eye shapes.
Try to draw as often as possible, but take breaks when you need to.
Review your own art. Ask yourself, "am I proud of this?" If you're not, ask yourself what you can do better.
If you're doing traditional art, buy ohuhu markers. They're nearly as good as copics, but way less expensive, and they're very high quality. I love using them.

Em dash. I use the em dash--this thing here--all the damn time!! Also commas, commas are my friends, I like the way they can be used to make text read more like, well, natural speech or thought patterns!Ellipses... now, those... those are also good. 💖
