      Iðunn looked on, a drink in hand as she watched the fun       and frivolity from the sidelines. It was rare for her to ever       attend such events, but on this occasion the Allfather had       insisted... She felt sorely out of place, her usual tattered       dress replaced with a sumptuous gown, and locks of wild       blond pinned back in an elegant braid. She would rather       be outside, climbing trees or wading through the shallow       rivers... but that was not an option this evening.

Soft. Strained if he thinks about it too much, because it’s an unnatural thing for a horse. But as a man, he finds his lips slipping up, just a bit, when he sees his child, or when he watches Loki work. He doesn’t notice it, usually, his lips simply angling, one corner a bit higher than the other. Soft and fond and almost always reaching his eyes, calm and content and if you would catch him with this smile, it would be difficult not to offer a smile in return.

Depends on what we’re saying “normal” is.

He tends to make himself seem smaller than he is, especially around Loki. He doesn’t want to startle people, generally, and knows his height and broad size is starling in itself, so he hunches a bit, shoulders slouched down in a curve like a hill. He appears uncertain, like a puppy who suddenly grew three times his size, was scolded for it, and isn’t sure what to do now.

But this mustn’t be mistaken for an uncertain character. He holds a confident core, a creature you could push and push and push but he would never fall. So he’s always sturdy, feet spaced apart just so so one would have difficulty knocking him over.

His hands may be either at his sides, clasped in front or behind him, but generally they are more comfortable when holding something, doing something.

He is a large creature, confident and formable, and in one swift movement he can straighten up, pull his shoulders back, and raise his chin and the unassuming man is replaced with someone you should not cross, but this is only if need be. Normally, he is relaxed, attempting to appear smaller.

Svadilfari observes. He’s patient as he watches and notes the things his loved ones enjoy; topics, particular compliments, food, colors — anything really. He remembers them all, slides that information away into the back of his mind to access later. If he’s unsure of something, he will ask another, not wanting to offer something until it is perfect.

Then he does whatever it is he’s noticed his loved one likes. Make them coffee, braid their hair, stroke their head, talk to them, sit with them quietly — anything they wish.
