she’s happy in the peaceful lull of a rhodes sunset - sat on the clay-caked sand & silt by the water along the edge of camp, eliza has her feet kicked up on a log adjacent to where she’s resting. the guitar held in her arms & balanced in her lap is so carefully handled; fingers plucking absent-mindedly at the strings as she hums a quiet tune. in this brief moment of respite, she’s just enjoying the momentary lapse of time she has to be thankful for the people & life surrounding her.
when she hears nearby footsteps, however, eliza hardly finds herself one to deny company; “teddy - baby, c’mere!” in fact, she’d rather beckon him over. she makes room on the stump she’s seated upon, patting the space next to her & balancing the body of the instrument between her legs, “lemme show y’a few chords.”
