It was the birthday of my ex-wife n good friend @valerie_tasherit a couple of days ago, so I wanted to big her up! This is a collaboration painting “King and Queen”, we did back in 2008, about the balance between Alpha and Omega. It was later used on a hat for the legendary reggae band @thirdworldband and skateboards for @creationskateboards . I loved seeing so many good vibes resonating in response to my post yesterday. Not because I need some pat on the back from a divorce (no need, it’s been overall a positive experience of growth), but because it looks like we all want more love and understanding with our former partners. Since yesterday I received my official divorce papers from Belgium, I wanted to do this Throwback Thursday about my married years! It was a great experience to share 8 years with the lovely white witch @valerie_tasherit ! I learned and grew so much with her and was certainly sad once we realized our karma contract had concluded and we had different lives to live. But I’m happy that we are still good friends, have dinners together (like the thanksgiving vegan sushi her boyfriend @ambrielsounds made for us on Monday) and do our full moon ceremonies when I’m in town. Relationships bring many life lessons and when those stop, it’s ok to let go of them with love and gratitude, so you can move forward and learn something new by yourself or with another partner.
