In VALERAS’ new video for ‘Tell Me Now,’ a city comes to a standstill.
Filmed during the pandemic, the British duo feel almost exhilarated as they wander the empty streets of London, compelling listeners to take a leap into the unknown with their spunky pop rock anthem. The clip itself, meanwhile, looks more like something out of the late 80s-early 90s than COVID-ravaged 2021 as they give urban desolation a nostalgic wash.
As the duo explain via press release:
‘The song touches on a subject that we feel is relevant to a lot of people as we lived through these odd and isolating times. ‘Let Me Go’ speaks about the feeling of being stuck in a place that stands still and wanting more out of life. Although it can sometimes feel scary to leave things behind, there comes a moment when you realise you need to make the jump. We wanted people to feel reassured in the fact that there is power in letting go and not settling for something that no longer makes you happy.’
VALERAS’ RITA EP is out now.

Do VALERAS make it out ‘The Other Side’?
Featuring delightfully scrappy graphics from CSD Videography, the British duo’s latest single is indie rock heartbreak set to spiky, exhilarating riffs, with vocalist Rose Yagmur ready to move on as she admits: ‘My love won’t survive/With you by my side/Settled on goodbye...’
As drummer/co-songwriter Max Sealy explains via press release:
‘The Other Side’ speaks about letting go of a relationship that does more bad than good & finding the strength to do so. It’s a story about coming to the realisation that the toxicity is stopping you from your full potential and from flourishing into something better.’
