warning: nerd
I miss DnD. It's been quite a long time since we've played any sort of cohesive campaign (the last time I played was a family game that was fun if slow, but that fell apart because of interpersonal drama) and I want to play again.
I miss my 4e Dragonborn Star pact Warlock Asheryn, who was on a mission to discover more about the Dragonborn's ancient homeland [Arkhosia] and eventually restore the balance and eliminate tribal conflict by killing their gods and reuniting them into one, the way they were before the gods went to war. The resurrection of Io was going to be a great plot line, I thought. I had an interesting character, too - the most charismatic of the group besides the cleric, from a clan that worshiped Tiamat, and eschewing the natural physical racial inclinations in favor of magic. He was super fucking cool. D:<
I also miss my "replacement" of sorts, Valek. We were planning a 3.5 campaign and I was going to have a Half-Dragon Spellscale Sorcerer. Yeah. The most vain motherfucker (he was very important to his clan, being actually directly descended from a dragon), but very good at magic and ultimately a very good companion, if sometimes standoffish. I'm re-working him to multiclass as a Bard, but I doubt I'll get to use him for quite some time.
We all like playing more than GMing, so we always have problems when trying to come up with good campaigns. First off nobody is ever sure who's going to run it, and then we have problems coming up with interesting plots. We also like to test each others' patience a /lot/ and really stretch the imaginative thinking aspect of DnD. We usually take the hard way out just because it's more interesting than the other options.
