thinking about how, as much as he thinks he's better than humans, the master's spent so much time with them after chasing the doctor around. he gets human references, he listens to human songs, watches human shows, and, even if it's for disguises, he lives as a human sometimes. honestly the doctor sometimes struggles with a lot of that

anyway i had a good time seeing the backrooms. thought it was pretty fun. i think the final act pivot on the primary source of tension and discomfort was nice and disarming. i REALLY hated the 'meat' scene (positive). i also thought it did a pretty good job wrt threading the needle on 'having a guy in there that chases you', which is something i've always found risks diminishing the 'scary' aspect of backrooms stuff for me.
