@vadeva I didnât know he had a tumblr but yes I listen to his works. I watched the part 2 of the comic dub (illustrated by @ cursetale) and the quality was honestly one of the best Iâve seen within the voice acting/editing community! Thinking about it makes me feel like rewatching Undertale comic dubs again

So, on @tehrogueâs discord serverm we were inspired by the picture of Fell!Rogue and started making other AUs of him. The first one suggested was Underswap, so I took up the duty and swapped him with @vadeva! The hair was supposed to look edgier, but *Vade voice* whatever.

My birthday is Valentine's Day so this is extra special coming from me. Here's to @starbotdubs and @vadeva my favorite voice actors. You guys are the ones who inspired me to put my voice to uses other than choral singing and screaming into the void. And to your loyal friend and protector @maxoutoften, I am happy to serve in your bean army. Cheers, and thanks for making me into a *determined person. (Also sorry Vade and Max...You're just as important. Asterisks and small text are totally coincidental...)
So, I went to MAGfest this past weekend and to say I had fun would be an understatement. I had an absolute blast! But this only happened because of the awesome people I hung out with.
This post ended up a bit lengthy with everything I want to say, despite trying to keep it concise, so Iâll leave the bulk of it under the cut.
My biggest highlight was the fact that I got to meet @maniaknight, @its-captain-senpaiâ, @starbotdubsâ, @vadevaâ, @tehrogueâ, @officialvariantschannelâ, @maxoutoftenâ, @xedramonâ, and @rainbowchibbitâ in person! Every single one of you are awesome people and deserve all the happiness in the world.
This being said, my entire con experience was vastly different from what I was expecting. This was not my first time going to MAGfest, but Iâll admit now that I had some very sour notes left over from previous years - which made me hesitant on even going this year. However, when I heard several of you were going, I took a leap of faith and jumped back in. Just having a chance to meet all you wonderful people in person outweighed all the bad memories that were associated with the con for me. Then, when ManiaKnight invited me to the meet-up dinner, I was excited to meet yâall for sure, but... I figured that would be it. That weâd go our separate ways for the rest of the con and maybe chat a bit online here and there after the weekend. I expected to experience this con relatively alone aside from the meet-up and to let this be my last MAGfest. Iâll admit, this was a highly pessimistic view from someone whoâs normally an optimist. However, I didnât want to be a downer in any way so I pushed all that away and went to the con with the intent to enjoy the time I had with yâall, however much or little it would be, depending on what you guys wanted to do.
But now that yâall know where Iâm coming from, letâs get to the happier part of this whole thing, shall we? Because the whole point here is that Iâm glad I took that leap of faith and decided to give MAGfest one more try. And Iâm very happy that my pessimistic expectations were wrong.
MAGfest started for me on Thursday night when I hung out with ManiaKnight for a couple hours and got my badge for the con. Even though we just wandered around and chatted, I did have fun and this really set a positive mood for the weekend for me.
I had to go to work during the day Friday, but meeting everyone in person at dinner Friday night was an absolute treat. Yâall were all so wonderful and fun to hang out with as we chatted and experienced the Magfest Pickle Fever of 2017 (of which I wrote a small report here XD). After dinner, I had fun hanging with Star, Rogue, Max, and Vade before going and playing games and hanging out with ManiaKnight, Xedra, and Captain.
And then on Saturday I had a blast getting kidnapped hanging out, playing games, and going to the Undertale fan movie trailer premier with Vade, Star, Rogue, Walker, and Max. It was also nice seeing Chibbit for a bit on Saturday night during the Undertale photoshoot!
Sunday, oh Sunday. That VA Workshop panel was such a blast, especially when Star got picked to go up and do a reading! (Star, keep going, you have Ellen and Mattâs approval!) I still smile thinking back to that panel and Iâm definitely going to take all the advice that the VAs gave us to heart as I slowly dive into VAing myself.
This weekend was incredible and I could go on forever with how much fun I had. But at the end of the day, every single one of yâall who Iâve tagged in this post helped wiped those sour notes away and redeemed MAGfest for me. Lots of photos, videos, recordings, and memes were made and yâall really made my con experience the best Iâve had in a while. Iâm very much looking forward to (hopefully) hanging out with all yâall at MAGfest next year, if not sooner at another con!
Given all this, my biggest thanks goes to ManiaKnight for inviting me to that dinner to begin with. Seriously. If not for you, I wouldnât have made all these wonderful new friends and memories. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Mania. I feel bad that the snow storm cut your trip short, but hopefully next time youâll be able to stay the whole weekend!
Thanks again to all of you who made this weekend absolutely wonderful! Youâve also helped recharge me and pull me out of my creative slump and I hope yâall will enjoy what Iâll be making in the coming weeks. And until we meet again, take care! ^_^
Well itâs been quite the year and well all lot of bad things happened (for me most were very personal) there were good things. And when I say good things I mean good people. Scratch that amazing people! These people helped me get through the year so that I would see this new one (even if the year is already starting bad for me). And even though I may not know a lot of them personally I still want to personally thank each and everyone of them. (Also I can draw better than this sorry)

@vadeva - Thanks for being the British man of Starbot Dubs. Your voice is so much fun to listen to and makes me wish I had a low awesome voice too. I canât wait to see what you and Stephanie do next! (I also really wanna see your audition video).
@rahafwabas - Thanks for filling my dash with angst! You are an amazing artist. You taught me how bad and angst life can be, but to every bad side thereâs a good thatâll be worth the pain. (Also short people for life!)
@jakei95 - Thank you for your creativity! You are such a nice and beautiful person. (Sucks that I couldnât draw you like that⌠I can draw better I swear!) Cross and Underverse is just too awesome not to love. You taught me that making something new out of otherâs ideas and turning it into your own can lead to finding your own new thing! You have encouraged me to do a lot more with myself as well as my art.
@jokublog - Thank you for sharing your hopes and dreams! Every time I see a picture of Dream I always smile (same is for Nightmare, but itâs an evil smile). Your art is so beautiful with its colors and flow. And even when others put you down you scare them away by getting back up again doing what you love. (Also you and Jakei be adorable together)
@loverofpiggies - Thank you for your amazing comics and snazzy pink hair! I love Aftertale and Geno since I connected to him in a sad way that Geno actually felt to be a real âpersonâ. You also taught me that even if youâre known for one thing itâs good to make your own thing. And that being Gloomverse. One of the greatest things Iâve ever read in the entirety of one night (I was that hooked). In fact it encouraged to to start my own comic and punch anxiety in the face!
@hawker-rawr - Thank you for making me laugh at a drunk man (and questioning what kind of drunk Iâd be)! You are such a cool artist and I love your take on Chara and Asriel. I fell in love with them all over again. So excited to see whatever you do next. (StarHawk ftw)
@camilaart - Thank you for playing with my emotions! I love GlitchTale so far and am pumped to see what happens next. You are an amazing storyteller and an awesome nerd at heart. I so happy that everyone got together when things got tough. Me from being from a poor household myself I know what itâs like. May all good things come to you and your family. (I also just wanna point out that I totally called Betty, like I screamed at the school computer when Sans died like my gosh I hate-love her!)
@starbotdubs - Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice (and face). You are an amazing voice actress and introduced me into so many comics Iâd come to love so much. @manontheinternet - Thank you for the music! Music has always been apart of my life, especially musicals. I play a couple instruments and like to sing, but not a lot of people even know since I have a literal panic attack whenever I try Iin front of people. So turning a game Iâm still obsessed with into a musical which Iâm already obsessed with is amazing! Every singer/actor is superb and you feel what the character is feeling. I canât help, but to always sing along. Iâm stoked to have found you so that I may be able to listen to greatness. (Listening to you guys sing seem to always calm me down)

Thereâs no way I can thank all of you enough.2016 wasnât the best year for me. Due to anxiety, depression, numbness, and a family member rushing in and out of the hospital. I doubt myself a lot saying Iâm not pretty or my art is trash when i should have more of a positive outlook on myself, but itâs hard to when your parents tell you stuff like that every day. If it werenât for every single one of these amazing people I donât think Iâd be alive today. I may not know all of them personally, but without them even knowing they helped me a lot. Even some of my friends that I mentioned are so close to my heart, but so far away for a hug. I love each and everyone of you and am looking forward to everything you do from here. Not just because youâre all amazing and talented, but because you give me something to live for. Thank you.
