Vaderfett doesn't fall into many of the common ship tropes but they are wholeheartedly Yapper x Listener.
Sure, it definitely took Vader time to really feel safe enough to open up but now he Will. Not. Stop. Everyday he's complaining about serving the Emperor since he knows Boba isn't fond of him either, venting frustration at whatever plan fell through & ranting about the incompetence of the officer or trooper who annoyed him today. He has a terrible temper but he can handle it a little easier when he has a healthy outlet. Unfortunately for Boba, he is that outlet.
It's not better when he's in a good mood either! That man has top ranked spaceship autism and must explain everything he comes across and tell Boba about each tiny little change he made to his fighter this week and exactly why it's an improvement. He also helps repair Boba's own kit, the payment being he sits and listens to him talk through the entire process and suggest changes he knows Boba won't take since he is very particular about how he does things, and doesn't really care for the mechanics in his jetpack that deeply, as long as they work.
This may sound like a punishment to an outsider but Boba loves it. He has always been the observant type - reading people is how you survive in a life like his. Now he can do it out of love, not desperation. Through Vader's monologuing, he can see every second of his thought pattern. He knows what not to do to avoid his wrath, which is definitely... helpful when dating a sith lord. But more importantly, he knows what Vader loves, what brings him to life and even eases his pain for a short while. Boba has an incredible memory - a blessing and a curse - but it means he can always catch Vader by surprise when he needs to. To love someone is to truly know them and Boba wants to live inside Vader's mind.

Also I may have fallen into a Star Wars shaped hole. I need help yall. Specifically I need anything Darth Vader redemption arc (but he keeps the suit) shaped thing to help me out of said hole. (They always give him skin I want that man Crispy)
