it was impossible to avoid him entirely. not that she was the one with the problem anyways. knowing the bailey boys for quite some time meant they practically ran in the same circles﹔like the one currently heading to a party in the hills tonight. somehow, she and jackson had been the remaining two assigned to get an uber. as the two step into the backseat, jolie attempts to keep her attention focused on her phone or the view from outside the window while the car begins to drive toward their destination. twenty minutes was a long time to sit in silence﹔an eternity by her standards. "i, uh, heard you and loren are working on an album," states before hues flicker momentarily to the male seated next to her, "that's cool."

"you're being uncharacteristically nice to me. did you poison my beer or something?" luther eyes ollie for a moment as they stand in the kitchen, the 'hangout' that's swiftly becoming a growing party still going on around them. "you could tell me. i'll keep drinking it if it means you keep this up."

eyes  scan  his  apartment as if she's studying it.    it  was  the  first  time  she’d  seen it    –    having  lived  just  on  the  other  side  of  his  wall  for  six  months  now.    it  mirrored  hers,    minus  the  pink  fuzzy  rug  and  s.quishmallows  on  the  couch.    ❛  you  don’t  think  that kissing  someone  else  before  a  first date  is,    like,    bad  luck . . .    right?  ❜    autumn  almost  wishes  she  hadn't been  so  honest,    that  she  hadn’t  told  him  this  was  her  first  real  date    –    having  spent  the  better  half  of  her  late teens and early twenties  with  a  high  school  sweetheart.    she  wasn’t  sure  if  he  was  the  bad  kisser  or  she  was  and  she  was  terrified  to  find  out.
