Next up, my tube preamp and tube amplifier! These were both kit builds that put together over the past few years. I am a huge fan of Elekit and their designs and I've built several of these (and others!) for friends. The tube amp is a beautiful TU-8200 model with upgraded capacitor sets from my friend Victor King up in Vancouver (vkmusic.ca) . It's true that you can buy this kit from US dealers but I would highly encourage you to buy it from Victor directly...not only will he set you up with incredible upgraded caps hell answer the phone almost literally any time day or night to help support you as you build and at any point down the road if you have problems with it. I've been a big fan of him for almost a decade. The 12AU7s are NOS Mullards pulled out of an old Hammond organ and the power tubes are NOS RCA 807s. This thing is a beast with sensitive speakers. The preamp on bottom is a TU-8500 and has a beautiful Tung Sol 12AU7 hidden inside. What amps, preamps, receivers, etc. do you use?
