Week 3 of the 52 Week Sewing Challenge. The theme this week is: Make a pattern you already own but have never made. This jacket pattern is going to be fit my husband and was inspired by a length of fabric I got in with the bins of decorator samples I got a few months ago. I did a lot of internet searching for a bomber jacket pattern that looked more professionally designed rather than the very homemade designs I kept coming across. The pattern was exactly what I wanted except it was now out of print and no longer sold. Luckily I found a brand new one someone had listed on Etsy and grabbed it right up. This pattern is rated Advanced and that’s rather intimidating but I’m going to try my hardest to make it as instructed. It’s my first time using a Vogue pattern but it looks well written. I spent some time this evening tracing each piece in the size I’m cutting so I can make this pattern again in other sizes if I want to. The paper I’m using is the type of paper that’s used on the tables/beds in doctors offices. I got it on Amazon a few years ago. #52weeksewingchallenge @52weeksewingchallenge @vogue #v9353 #bomberjacket #voguepatterns #voguesewingpattern @etsy #sewing #sewingpattern #challengeaccepted https://www.instagram.com/p/CKQHOzZDVUP/?igshid=1cprc9a3vciuu
