Add that to a recognition of âUltimateâ as something awry, and thereâs a curious implication of what he means by âin for something strangeâ, considering that his own lab room is filled with Ultimate experiments...
His wish to die, coupled with rejecting Ultimate memories. The group are running to throw away their memories, purportedly because of the Hunt. But if Shuichi alone explicitly wanted to die, why is he going through such a roundabout process... unless he wanted something else...?

The point is, itâs curious how her forceful positivity push-back rears up so heavily here. We donât even get to examine this clue of hers, precisely because of that. Which makes this kind of behaviour overall, a bit of a red flag to watch out for...
